COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Summer seasonal, Trade Winds Tripel is a Belgian-style Golden Ale with a Southeast Asian twist. Instead of using candi sugar (typical for such a beer), we use rice in the mash to lighten the body and increase the gravity, and spice with Thai Basil. The result is an aromatic, digestible and complex beer made for a lazy summer evening. (ABV: 8%, IBU: 25, SRM: 5, Release: Summer, Format: 750 mL bottles)

Most amazing beer appearance in a long time. Golden color with awesome retention and the head stays firm and creamy. The surface of the head is cratered like the surface of the moon, very interesting. Floral, but also very earthy in the nose and some sort of spice (apparently basil). Taste has a creaminess to it, but still manages to be dry in the finish. Almost vanilla-like in the taste, with a bit of Cool-Whip, bits of grain, and a long, earthy taste. High carbonation and medium body. If not for a little bit of a metallic taste, I’d bump the taste score up another notch. Pretty good Tripel, and nice to have an American one that is nice and relatively dry.

Tap at brewery. Light orange with small white head. Really nice aroma of citrus yeast and very sweet. Really spicy, some herb bitterness and good tripel elements throughout. Great finish. It’s different and interesting. Liked it a lot.

Appearance: pours with a small off white head, the beer is a hazy average gold color Aroma: bread, lemon, alcohol, faint hints of funk from the barnyard Taste: light sweetness, the basis shows itself on the finish with a bit of bitterness, has a spice to it as well, orange Palate: lively carbonation, slightly bitter aftertaste, lighter mouthfeel Overall: drinks like a saison, nice complexity to this beer, the aftertaste is unique in that it's a bitterness but doesn't Taste like typical hop bitterness, good beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

RB sier 8%, etiketten sier 8,6%.
