3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear gold/amber with nice fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet ripe green apple, slight caramel and spiciness. Fluffy carbonated mouthfeel. Starts with a bite of spiciness and citrus bite on the tip of the tongue, develops into light sweetness of ripe fruits with some grassy hop and a prickly spice. Peppery finish with only a little heat from the alcohol. Really nice, easy and flavorful
Wierd note: tried this with a peanut butter chocolate cookie with no flavors in common, and it created an amazing synergistic pariing. Brought out a whole different spicy note that wasn’t in either the beer or the cookie.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was poured into a chalice.
The appearance was a nice hazy orange to cloudy brown color. The head maintains a gentle level of foamy thickness. Adequate lacing streams along the chalice.
The smell had some soft spice to bring an inviting light sweet Summery pear that came across fairly refreshing.
The taste was invitingly sweet and refreshing with a sticky sweet apples and pears. Light earthy/herbal quality of spice amplifies some refreshing qualities over my tongue. Light pear-like aftertaste leads into a nice finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a nice refreshing/sessionable quality rolling over my tongue.
Overall, nice refreshing Summery Tripel, not as yeasty as some tripels I’ve had, but this would make a great session in the Summer.

Smells like grapes. Taste has fruit notes and a slightly odd bit of spice. I like it for its uniqueness. Definitely feels like a treat.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Very hazy, golden body. Foamy, volatile head; huge, lasting, foamy, lightly creamy, & somewhere between off-white & beige in color. Aroma is spicy, herbal, & fruity all at once. Golden fruit from the yeast, light clove, bubblegum, basil, oregano, herbal tea leaves, faint pepper, sweetbread, honey. Lots to take in. Very gummy flavor, heavy yeast. Bubblegum, banana, pear. Basil, herbal spiciness is still very present, though. Faint white pepper, bread, mild clove, just a faint hint of phenols. Semi sweet honey & golden fruit in the finish with a slight twinge of basil & other various herbs. Bold bodied, somewhat thick. Different take on a classic tripel. Not bad in smaller samples, but it can wear you down quickly.

Bottle from Antenna America. Basil, lemon, booze, tripel sweetness, grainy. Everything you’d expect from a tripel but something not quite there for me.
