COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tripel Tonnellerie is a 100% barrel fermented version of a Belgian Abbey Tripel. The base beer carries a classically clean maltiness, balanced by a fruity aroma and a dry, spicy mouthfeel. Extended fermentation in oak barrels inoculated with wild yeast allowed the beer to develop the rustic, earthy tones of a classic countryside biere de garde resulting in a uniquely flavorful beer, suitable for beer and wine lovers alike.

Hazy gold beer with a big pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and dry, fine carbonation. Airy malts, a little dry cream. Light floral sweetness. A bare whisper of herb, vaguely saison like. Nice orangey citrus zing. Light airy finish. Nice tripel, very drinkable, a bit too much so really, this messed me up!

10/15/2014. From bottle. Cloudy light amber with a thick white head. Oaky aromas with spicy notes. Light tartness, Belgian yeast, peppery spices with a dry finish. Very balanced.

Bottle shared by Dan at the Pig in Boca Raton. Small snifters. Pours a light golden yellow with a significant head. Lots of lace. Nose is Belgian yeasts, sweet fruits, a soft brett or other wild yeasts, hay, cereal. The taste is a blend of a traditional tripel style coupled with a funky wild yeasts beer. Light fruits, Belgian yeasts, wild yeasts, cereal, fresh hay, and horse. Very high carb, like champagne. Light body. Bold wild yeast finish. Not sour or tart, just brisk.

Very effervescent, almost champagne like. Belgian yeast, white wine. Grapes. Some booze.

Une belle base céréalière avec son lot raisonnable d’esters fruités se fond dans un brillant traitement de barrique. Élégant, rond et efficace.

My Bottom Line:
Wooden vanilla, svelte cereals and fruity angles sculpt an elegant Barrel-Aged Tripel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the misty golden.
-This is too expensive for what it is (there are much better Tripels out there at half this price), but that doesn’t mean it isn’t an accomplished product.
-Barrel presence is not too zealous, which I appreciate, especially for a base beer which is rather delicate.
-Effervescence is soft and works well with the flavor profile.

Bottle; gros merci Martin et Michèle!

750 mL bottle, shared by Trey at Ale Alpharetta. pours hazy yellow, with a small, beige ring. Brilliant aroma of lemons and peach, with notes of coriander and some musty barnyard aromas. Citrus sweetness, a little bitter, with a mellow sour funk. Light body, acidic, and sticky. Overall, this is a lovely, lively, funky, delicious and interesting beer.

Pours a hazy, barely translucent golden with a frothy eggshell head. Strong aroma is fruity, more like a hard apple cider.flavor is very cider-like, but with enough malt and hops to let you know it is a beer. Smooth texture is fairly fizzy, and leaves a cider-like apple finish. Tripel your pleasure, Tripel your fun--

Tap, gold pour, white head, nose is citrus, taste is citrus, overall decent but nothing crazy.

Bottle at a bottle share. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a moderate white head on it. Nose is slightly yeasty with some slight citrus on there and slight doughiness. Taste is slightly sweet and feels pretty smooth. OK.
