COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oui Oui is the second in our Vitis Series. For this version, we aged our sour blonde ale in used wine barrels along with chardonnay grapes. The resulting ale has a pleasant funk with resounding similarities to a California chardonnay wine." It’s an RS only release.

Grumlig vattnig ljusgul i färgen nästan inget skum. Doftar brett, vinöst, gröna druvor, medicin. Smakar härligt syrligt, söt citron, surt godis, vinöst, brett. Avslutas torrt och surt med fruktiga inslag.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of anacrime. Pours yellow with a slight haze and a small white head. Very tart, vinegary nose, loads of funk and Brett. Medium body, lowish carbonation, sour grapes, subtle acetone, quite some Brett too. Ends very sour, bordering astringent. Almost like a very sour Spanish or British cider. 250213

Hazy pale gold beer. No head. Palate is crisp, light and semi dry. Tart beer, mildly acidic. Lemon and white wine. Some worcester sauce sourness. Comes together reasonably well with a tart dry crisp finish. Okay but could not drink loads.

750 ml bottle via trade from womencantsail. Thanks, Andrew. A very white wine/Chardonnay pour that is faintly haze, nice glowing white grape and gentle golden body. Well carbonated, a small whitish head atop dies to a mellow ring, laces small. Aromas are white grapes, gentle wine, oak, sour fruit, melon and gentle citrus. Lactic and winey, touches of spirit driven wine, gentle honeycrisp apples, touches of tart fruit and melon, tangerine. Richer oak, yogurt, mellow brett and straw. Initial is firm sourness up front, rich white grape, a touch acedic off the bat but that tapers off. Rich lactic and white grape elements surround the palate, tannic skin and oak, gentle sweetness, some bread, straw. Firm brett, rich white grape elements. Gentle sweeter honey, apples, and melon. Touches of honey and earth, rich yogurt presence. Big lactic element that is a touch harsh up front but becomes inviting. Apple and a bit cidery, the middle shows that very element, a touch of nail polish remover, apples, white grape as it gets a bit harsher in there. Backend shows lemon, grapefruit, melon, tons of white gra[pe. The Chardonnay element really asserts itself although the beer itself seems some acidity within it’s elements. Fruity and oaky, mellow sourness and rich white wine elements into the backend and finish. This beer was a good idea that got a touch out of hand at times. A bit of acedic qualities linger within but it doesn’t ruin the beer. It’s fun, richly flavored, and has a big White Wine element as adveritsed. Some fine tuning could turn this into something fun. Solid as it.. a bit flat as far as carbonation, some Champagne like life could make the acidity a bit less harsh.. upping it’s overall quality. As is, it’s ok.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2013 Bottle poured a honey golden in color with no head or foam and a fairly still look in the glass. Aroma has crisp chardonnay grapes, sweet alcohol, and oak. Mouth feel is medium and has a nice texture but unfortunately this is totally flat. Flavor has thick chardonnay juice, oak, light sourness, lemon, sweet tropical fruit, and a finish that struggles to the dry side. There are some gauze touches but it is a bit rough around the edges and the lack of carbonation does not help the cause.
