3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Probably my favorite brew from tonight’s tasting...
Poured a fairly clear light orange brew... no real head or lacing....
The nose buggy/big brett and still pretty fruity.
The flavor is interesting for days.... tannic and fruity... brett/mild lactic notes... woody/definite winey presence... a heavier "Cuvee de Castleton" is my big descriptor..
The carbonation is light... body is fine for something this heavy.

had this during the BCS championship at a local pub that was having a deschutes night to commemorate Oregons near title. Side by side with a fresh Dissident, this beer was it’s equal, though i know what dissident does with age! right now, this one is more tart - not quite lip smacking but close. a great aromatic and flavorful marriage of wine and beer. the grape aspect of the barrels really made this unique and more akin to a good brown sour (my preferred) to a yellow. well done. waaay overpriced, but we split a bottle "

Pours hazy gold with no head. The nose is light funk, grapes and white wine. The taste is salt water, white wine vinegar, grape skins and wood. Medium light prickly mouthfeel. Very good. 4.2

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle thanks to George! Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong grape and oak. Light sourness and grape. Easy to drink, really enjoyed this.

A: Hazy Orange Hue, Passes Mild Light, No Head, No Lacing
S: Apricots, Grapes, Pinot Noir
T: Apricot, Pinot Noir, Mild Grapes
M: Mediocre Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Tart
Overall, pretty nice, poor carbonation, nice mild pinot flavor that the tartness is offset by the grape flavor.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks Seth! Boring appearance. Big sour profile up front, highly acetic; soured grapes up front followed by a more hearty fruit (peaches?). Damn, this is tasty.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
pour is apple juice with a thin scummy white head and almost flat. Nose is watered down sparkling grape juice with notes of acetic acid. This should be a treat...taste is better than the nose, hard not to be. Has some sour red grapes but still akin to sparkling grape juice, rather tannic behind, fairly sour with maybe a touch of cheese to give it an edge of funk. Quite a dry finish and decent carbonation. Body is a bit syrupy and heavy. Not too bad.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared by Darrell. Thanks man!
The beer is a hazy light orange color. The head is minimal and dissipates immediately, leaving no trace of its prior existence.
The aroma is delectable, with gueuze funk, grapes. It smells exactly like what I hoped for and expected.
The beer is delicious. Not amazingly tart, but certainly more tart than sweet. Grapes shine through brilliantly. A subtle grape juice sweetness is present, making this brew quite quaffable.
The finish brings a hint of vinegar and an ever so slightly acetic bite.
Carbonation is light and the body is relatively thin.
Overall, a very tasty brew. I would definitely have this again.
