3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 adamjackson (1229) - Lyme, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 18, 2013
Received two of these in a trade. Have been trying to find people to share it with me but everyone says 14% is too much ABV...so whatever, I’m drinking the whole bottle by myself at home on a Monday afternoon. Enjoyed at 55 Degrees (today’s current cellar temp) in a Cantillon tulip. I am a huge fan of White Oak so am stoked to try this!
A - Appearance is similar to White Oak. Light hazy orange with a wheat tone to it, 3 finger white head fades fast. Looks still in the glass with no lacing.
S - The dominant scent is vanilla beans followed by grassy and floral notes and chocolate is actually what I get the least of which is odd considering the name.
T - Starting, this taste is very refreshing. It has a hefeweizen appeal with citrus and wheat. The middle turns into what I can best describe as Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur...$13.99 @ BevMo. The finish is boozy vanilla flavored vodka, and some sort of chocolate cheesecake that’s too sweet to warrant more than just a drink of it.
M - Medium body and ultra-low carbonation
O - This is a boozy dessert beer and should be split with at least 6 people. I’m gonna finish the bottle but holy Hell this is intense.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Steve_0 (1264) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Aaron. Thanks man! Pour is hazy orange with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is huge white chocolate, oak, vanilla, and honey, but I cant get over how much this beer smells like melted white chocolate. Taste is huge vanilla, white chocolate, big sugar, super sweet, and desserty. Medium body with soft carbonation. Really cool beer and I can’t believe how much this one seriously tastes like white chocolate. Pretty nice.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2013 Bottle @ Stephen’s house thanks to mencansail. Drew Brew you are a fungi. Pours a cloudy orange appearance with a white head. Sugary, somewhat chewy, white chocolate, caramel, thick sugary, lightly herbal, mild bourbon, thickly sweet flavor. Some booze but pretty tasty.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ineedbeer (184) - San Leandro, California, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Aroma definitely has a similarity to white chocolate. This beer also has quite a bit of vanilla, a slight chocolate note, and a bit of oak. A slight alcohol aroma as well. I think this would probably smell messy as it warms.
Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head that quickly recedes to the edges. Little to no lacing but medium sized legs.
Wow, the flavor is white chocolate for sure with quite a bit of vanilla as well. There is a bit of a cider note mid palate which isn't super pleasant. The finish has quite a bit of oak and also quite a bit of alcohol. Finishes fairly dry with a slight astringency. The alcohol spice lingers along with light vanilla and oak notes.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium low carbonation. Alcohol heat is moderately high and astringency is low but present.
I like this beer cool, but I have a feeling that when it warms it is a mess. They nailed the white chocolate character and the vanilla and oak compliments well.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Sammy (7035) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 26, 2013
Light and thick appearance. Above average mouthfeel. Mild chocolate aroma. The taste is coconut and vanilla. the vanilla aligns itself with the flavour put in almond milk or soymilk tetra packages. This is a sipper, and I had to stop halfway in the bottle, from the extent of weight of the syrup, and the coconut.
Bottle from FlandersNed in Warren.

Great scents of vanilla, bourbon and white chocolate. Taste is a nice spike of alcohol with a bit of wine character, the finish is outstanding with a nice white chocolate finish.

gold with thin white head that drops fast. Nose is high abv, cloying sweetness, burnt plastic, synthetic marshmallow (redundant?) and Zero candy bar. flavor is white chocolate candy, the kind you paid $3 for your valentine when you were 15, incredibly hot.. would have guessed 17-18%. It was drank next to Tahitian pale lagers and was still plain bad. Seriously, how can people stomach this stuff?
4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 hopscotch (8215) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 11, 2013
Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours cloudy and amber with no head. The amazing aromatics are a wet-dream of warm, melted cocoa butter poured gently into a mixing bowl with several fresh, sticky, crushed vanilla beans and a healthy splash of Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 20-Year. Just outstanding. Full-bodied and viscuous with laid-back carbonation. The flavor makes me imagine a box of liquor-filled white chocolate bottles enriched with crushed vanilla and bursting with Pappy 20-Year. So rich - so sweet - so warming. The experience is neatly wrapped up in a warming, white chocolate and vanilla finish. Amazing sweetness without being cloying. Amazing whiskey warmth without being boozy. Bravo Bruery and thank you biggsbowler!
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 arminjewell (4160) - Saudi Auroria, Colorado, USA - JAN 11, 2013
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, slightly hazy orange pour with thin to no white head, aroma brought nice notes of wheat, caramel, toffee, chocolate, vanilla, remarkably like a white chocolate bar with some oak and caramel notes, hints of booze but not bad. Taste is a mix of caramel, toffee, nice cocoa notes mixing into vanilla and slight sugary notes mimicking a nice white chocolate, hints of earth, booze, finishing fairly sweet. This is well done.

Warning, this contains alcohol. Well didn’t know what to expect at all from this one, figured it would be "somewhat" like white chocolate, but no way it could be right on the nose. Well, I was wrong. This one was like drinking liquid cookies and cream. Aroma and flavor just like white chocolate with notes of vanilla. Alcohol well hidden at least on the palate in my two samples for being 14%, especially since I’ve had some boozy brews from these guys in the past. This is getting high marks from me, but mostly because it succeeded in matching what they were selling.
