COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The primary component of our “White Oak” ale is a 100% barrel aged wheat wine that we affectionately refer to as “White Oak Sap.” Essentially a “summer” barley-wine style ale, but made with a wheat heavy grain base, White Oak Sap is aged in used bourbon barrels for nearly a year and comes out rich in flavors of coconut, honey, caramel and vanilla. To compliment the already rich flavors of the beer, we’ve added cacao nibs and vanilla beans to give this beer the delicate flavor of white chocolate…hence the name.

75cl bottle at home, shared with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: clear blond beer, no foam. NOSE: caramel, very sweet, amaretto, whiskey, wood. TASTE: white chocolate, little sour, whiskey, wood. Not worth the hype...

Cool - pralines )thx ferris), really really really white chocolaty. Like crazy. Extra sugar piled on - a liquid sugar, caramel, weak alc, vanilla and honey. Taste is not my thing at all. Way too strong to enjoy, heat, white choco, coconut? (Word of the day), don’t like this at all.

Bottle, hazy yellow copper pour, aroma of shortbread, pecan pie, vanilla. Taste - slight sour, oak, mild sweetness which is surprising given the aroma, sight vanilla finish. The aroma says dessert beer but I don’t get that in the taste at all. This is the 2013 vintage, so yea it’s supposedly somewhat infected however I am still enjoying this it’s just different then what I expected.

Bottle - Boozy white chocolate, coconut, caramel and nuts. Praline. Cloudy copper with a thin white head. Tastes like it smells with a boozy bourbon barrel finish. Great for a few ounces, but too much for a whole glass.

Love this I have had it several times and have loved it each time. Somewhat boozy but at the abv it isn't surprising. Mouthfeel was the only thing lacking for me.

Caramel orange in color... Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, caramel sweetness... Flavor is caramel, vanilla, chocolate... Does taste a little like white chocolate, but does definitely have a fair amount of tartness throughout... Not terribly unpleasant, infection prolly got tamed down by the abv... Solid, but was expecting more ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 shared. and thank you todd. pours a cloudy orange color with no head and no lacing. the aroma is so complex alcohol, vanilla, honey and sweet caramel up front. the flavor is extraordinary, honey, vanilla, chocolate, silky smooth and medium alcohol. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe how this taste...very very good. hats off
