3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 DesertDevil (186) - Arizona, USA - DEC 15, 2012
On tap at the Bruery Tasting Room. Pours a hazy golden orange. Aroma of white chocolate and chalk. Taste of slight bourbon, followed by very sweet chocolate and malt and a boozy kick. Daknole said it best: it’s like a bourbon barrel-aged cream soda.

Bottle into a snifter. Orange pour with a small white head. Smells like honey, white chocolate and booze. Flavor is honey, white chocolate and booze. Medium body with medium carbonation. This was a cool beer. I think they really nailed the white chocolate flavor. Not something that I would want to drink on a regular basis, but I’m really glad that I had the chance to try this.

Bottle poured into glass. Big Big thanks to Randy (the future) for breaking this bottle out. I had no idea that a wheat wine could smell and taste so delicious. White chocolate spot on! Super easy to drink, ABV masked extremely well. Everything works in harmony together perfectly! Can’t wait to try this again.

750 ml bottle to taster (from notes). Looks solid; lighter in color than I expected though. Orangish with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes sweet and boozy with a nice mouthfeel. Nice on the palate too. A tasty brew!

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow/orange color with a white head. Aroma is filled with white chocolate, but also cocoa nips, vanilla, bourbon, charred oak, wheat, caramel, toffee, sweet sugary notes, almost lactose like milky notes and marzipan. The flavor follows the nose and is quite sweet with sugary notes, lots of white chocolate, toffee, fudge, charred oak, bourbon, cocoa nips, vanilla, wheat, caramel, lactose like notes, marzipan and heat. The body is almost full with a oily and sticky mouth feel. Overall a really nice Wheat Wine, another winner from The Bruery.

Omg. This stuff is amazing. Pours golden brown with a thin white head and a carb fountain that doesn't stop. The nose is exactly as the name implies, white chocolate, vanilla, whiskey booze greatness. Taste is ultra sweet but the bitter balance is there. It's so decadent. Mouthfeel is crisp and sticky coating. The body is like a hulking gorilla and the finish lasts forever. Amazing.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2012 Bottle. Not sure on this one. Pour was real bubbly but no head retention. Nose is not great but pretty much hits heavy on vanilla and alcohol. Taste is a bit unfocused but at the same time not complex. Vanilla, boozy and somewhat sweet. The mouthfeel is a bit thin but then again it is a Wheatwine and not a Barleywine. Maybe age will help make this real good. Doesn’t suck at all but not over the top great either.

Bottle shared by Mr. BMan1113vr the weekend of the inaugural Formula 1 race in Austin, Texas (the best city in the country). Aroma is straight up vanilla, coconut, booze, bourbon, booze, oak. Flavor is chocolate, vanilla, oak, bourbon, cookie dough, and some more booze. This beer really does smell like straight up cookie dough. Warm finish. Unlike any other beer I’ve had, just different.

Bottle generously shared by JPDurden24. Cheers, John! Pours an amber color with a white head. Nose is booooooooooooze. I get hits of chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, oak, and just lots of booze. Flavor is similar: booze dominates the chocolate notes while allowing some of it through. Medium in body and boozy as all hell.

Woah, what a treat! Thanks, Tim. Aroma is pure white chocolate, vanilla, toffee, some bourbon, coconut, and sex. Pour is a hazy orange with a fluffy white head. The tastes match up pretty well with the nose. Tons of vanilla and bourbon with some light caramel notes. Very nice indeed.
