4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle shared by madbeerbaron. Thanks ben. First off, this bottle was harder to open than the punch tops on miller cans. We were considering breaking out the chainsaw. But, totally worth it. This beer was like a waffle cone dipped in white chocolate. Holy sweetness batman. Im glad there was a decent crew at this tasting otherwise this beer would have gone to waste. Plan on splitting this at least 3 ways. Regardless, i want moar!

2.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ WWT IV, small sample. Clear golden to orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of white chocolate, bit vanilla, bit coconut, slight funky. Taste is a bit sour, pineapple. Bit thin in flavor. Wonderful aroma, but taste is probably gone bad.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at WWT tasting. Slight hazy golden with white head. Sour grains, coconut, raw vegetables, vanilla, light cognac, hay, wood. Mostly medium sour with very light sweetness. Medium bodied with dry feel. Disappointing.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ WWT IV. Clear golden color, virtually no head. The aroma is indeed white chocolate. Taste alcohol, a slight hint of sourness and indeed a hint of white chocolate. Average to medium body, a bit fizzy carbonation. Meh..

1.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
This beer was infected. In some ways, it feels unfair to rate it, but I’d like to have my comments available for comparison when I get to try this beer for real. Then, I’ll edit my rating accordingly. As it was, White Chocolate smelled faintly of white chocolate. The color was dull brown but the body was very fizzy. Aroma had some bourbon and barley. Flavor was very sour. There was some lingering Barleywine-ish tastes, but mostly the flavors of tart citrus had taken over. The booze note was very sharp. Hopefully I’ll get to have this beer the way the brewmaster intended very soon. Until then, no hard feelings, The Bruery. It’s not like I was really excited to try this or anything. No, it’s fine. All good. I’m not crying. You’re crying.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
(Thanks Josh "StFun")
A- Bourbon, booze, citrus, sour.
A- Dirty yellow brown color, cloudy liquid, off white head.
T- Boozy, citrus, sour, tart, subtle caramel.
P- Medium body, average texture, high carbonation, sour finish,
O- A beer I’d really wanted and finally was hooked up with. Sadly, it was way infected. Had it been a blind tasting, I’d have assumed I was drinking a sour/wild ale. The bourbon is the only thing that actually came through that was supposed to be there. I think.

Thank PeteinSD Amber/burnt orange pour with a white disappearing head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, bourbon. These aromas invite you to take that first sip. Taste is light chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, a dry finish with chocolate notes. The beer gets sweeter as you drink it. I am glad I shared this.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle into snifter, 2012 vintage bottling. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/amber color with a small foamy white head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin ring fairly quickly. Slight spotty lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, golden raisin, pear, apple, toffee, bourbon, coconut, oak, honey, light caramel, light pepper, and bourbon/oak earthiness. Damn nice complexity and balance of pale malt, bourbon barrel, and vanilla/cocoa nib notes; with good strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, golden raisin, pear, apple, toffee, bourbon, coconut, oak, honey, light caramel, light pepper, and bourbon/oak earthiness. Slight amount of oaky bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, coconut, oak, honey, light caramel, and bourbon/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity and robustness of pale malt, bourbon barrel, and vanilla/cocoa nib flavors; with an awesome malt/barrel balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, fairly creamy, and slightly slick mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome barrel aged wheatwine style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of pale malt, bourbon barrel, and vanilla/cocoa nib flavors; and smooth to sip on slowly for the huge ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted on 8/31/13 from waxed and capped 750mL bottle. Pours clear light orange with an average white head that quickly recedes to a thin collar. The nose is white chocolate with a malty graham cracker note, maple, light caramel, a bit hot. The flavor is very unctuous and quite sweet with the same white chocolate and graham cracker from the nose, and even more caramel and toffee bourbon. The body is full with lively carbonation that makes it seem a bit lighter, along with a long sweet bourbon and white chocolate finish.
