Pours unclear golden with a white head. Aroma is very sweet with an almost desert-wine characteristic to it. Also alot of delicate bourbon notes to it. Quite floral, unripe coconut, sweeter caramel, vanilla and some fruity wheat esters. Taste add some tartness along with the fruity wheat notes. Also some vanilla, caramel, desert wine, bourbon notes and floral notes. Very very interesting i must say.

My Bottom Line:
Madeleine cookies (orange zest, light butter, biscuity cereals) grow within vanilla bourbon and wooden greenness for a conversation piece of a barrel-aged brew.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the cloudy amber gold.
-Effervescence is quite high (part of the Belgian inspiration in the blend).
-Alcohol feels more prominent because of the bourbon barrel contribution.
-A citrusy touch is also found.
-It feels a little rough around the edges for a blend.
-This one’s obviously for barrel fans. Others might find it brash.

Pours a nice golden color with a very frothy head. A strong woody bourbon smell. The sip packs quite the punch. A nice citrus back feel. Biggest flavor is definitely the bourbon barrels. A lot of caramel and a slight vanilla after taste. A slight peppery feel on the back of the tongue.

2014.01.25 - The Bruery White Oak - 750ml bottle in small goblet glass. .
Aroma: nondescript to me
Appearance: Pours very light yellow. Medium head/carbonation, foamy ring.
Taste: As per the label. Wheat wine with hints of vanilla and caramel.
Palate/Mouthfeel: pretty light.
Overall: not bad but I'm not a big fan of
Such light things (Tripel, pils, wheat).
Got tired of this being in my cellar to try so just drank a few ounces to review. Not bad but I wouldn't seek it out.
Aroma 5/10, Appearance 3/5, Taste 4/10, Palate 3/5, Overall 12/20

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Absolutely splendid. The key here is the 50-50 blending. The bourbon flavor is subtle and not overpowering, but truly adds to the flavor. Highly recommended.

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap. Pour is pal e golden with a large white head that fades very quickly. Aroma is of booze, vanilla beans, wood, and dark fruits. Flavor is sweet at first but then transitions into a booze and oak finish. Sweet and hot, not very well balanced.
