3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours golden with a solid quilt of light yellow foam; brilliant clarity. Smells like co2, pears, vanilla, some apple skin, some dandelion. Flavor is booze, sweet malt, sweet vanilla, some bourbon, some oak, some more pear and honeydew. Full bodied with moderately hi carb and a semi dry finish. Meh, tastes more like an old ale than a wheatwine, and although I’m not a wheatwine fan on most occassions, this one isn’t at the top of that list. I think it will age gracefully however. A little sweet and a little too much pear for me.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 1p 9oz. Pours a light to medium amber with a powerfully infused head backed up with essentially high carbonation. Sharp aromas of crisp sour apple, light cork mellowed, mellowed caramel, honey, white grape juice and flowers. Flavors of wood, light stinging alcohol (a little on the fusel side), vanilla, flowers, honey in the back, white grape in the back of the alcohol, and a hint of jasmine. Alcohol comes through medium strong in the flavors only. The body is obviously big as the abv does all that work. Medium sweet and leaves a slight alcoholic finish with a tint of cork/wood. Bourbon rounds out in the flavors. Would do much better (perhaps in a competition) if the abv could be lowered as it gets in the way of the more subtle flavors.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with vinous notes, grassy Belgian hops, light apple purée, nice. In mouth, a Belgian like interpretation with candy sugar, vinous notes, citrus pulp, light floral hops, loads of alcohol. On tap at Breukelyn Bier Merchants.

Pours a hazy orangish copper with a big frothy white head and tons of lace. Aroma of vanilla, oak, caramel, coconut and a bit of bourbon. Taste is bourbon, oak, vanilla, caramel. Mouthfeel is a bit boozy and champagney with a high carbonation but displays so many flavors that blends really well together. Excellent beer!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear golden pour with ring of white head. Exactly as the description boasts - coconut, vanilla, and caramel. Hint of the bourbon. Boozy. Woody. Lingering heat. Bet this would do very well aged. Right now it’s just hot.

750ml tasted blind. Slightly hazy orange-tan. Foamy, creamy white head. Biting banana, boozy, champagne, slightly belgo feel. Unimpressive aroma, but a pretty decent boozy Belgian Golden Ale. Some odd pungent undertones.
