4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle, shared by tmoney99. 2013 vintage. Clear orange yellow color. Lively-looking carbonation. Thin white head. Nice spicy bourbon aroma, vanilla in the flavor. Caramel malt. Smooth, soft carbonation. Bigger body. More dry finish. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet, nice light alcohol warmth in the finish. Very tasty, bourbon-barrel-aged wheat wine. Very well-balanced and well-integrated.

Not sure Iíd categorize this as a BW, but hey whatever. Hazy golden orange color, moderate head, good lacing and retention, especially for the alcohol. Huge, huge bourbon nose. Also has vanilla (what a shock) with some lesser fruit and caramel notes. Did I mention bourbon? Medium to full bodied, huge bourbon/vanilla flavor dominates everything, moderate alcohol, moderate sweetness. Itís pretty tasty but itís one dimensional. Did I mention bourbon yet?

Medium to full body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is was a complex solid beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 6, 2013 Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tangy bread, sugar oak and was somewhat boozy. the flavor was strong oak, tart, tangy and sweet candied apples, pear and figs with undertones of vanilla, pineapple and a boozy presence. Long finish of sugar, pear, oak, vanilla, pineapple and alcohol. Thick and full body. Very nice.

From 75 cl bottle shared at Ryanís. Piurs a cloudy gold with a massive off white head. Aroma of banana and white grapes. Flavors of oak and a hint of vanilla. Effervescent mouthfeel. Creamy tart finish.

Bit of a gusher, load pop on opening, first pour is mostly head. Cloudy orange with fast dissipating off white head. Aroma is intensely wheaty with tropical esters. Flavor is also very tropical, only slight bourbon notes in the finish. Decent beer, but not my favorite.

19.06.2013, tap @ The Ginger Man NY:
Small shortlasting head. Aroma is sweet fruity, light malts, caramel, dried fruits, white wine barrel, citrus, banana, grass, almond essence, butterscotch. Taste is dry slightly concentrated, light malts, grass, citrus peel, oak, alcohol, butterscotch, sorrel, dried fruits. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough, not my favorite beer.

This is becoming my favorite brewery. The only bad thing I can say about this one is that it is a bit boozey.
