4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle.
Aroma is fairly raspberry forward with a nice rhubarb note as well. Light oak character and hints of toasted malts and graham crackers.
Pours a murky, copper-red with a frothy, dark tan head that recedes very quickly. No lacing and small legs.
Flavor has a nice moderate tartness with some upfront raspberry notes followed by a nice rhubarb character. Medium light oak notes with low bitterness. Light malt character. Finishes fruity with rhubarb and raspberry with some lingering acidity. Hints of alcohol in the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a very enjoyable tart raspberry beer with notes of rhubarb. The oak works well, but I think I was expecting a touch more malt character. Still delicious. One of my favorite Bruery beers from 2013.
