Cask at GBBF 08. Clear amber with a wonderful fresh nectarine aroma. Equally fruit in the mouth but well balanced with hops. Smooth yet sharp at the finish. Amazingly quaffable for the strength. I really enjoyed this.

12.10.05 Sampled from growler at RLB YEHA-05. Lasting white foam above a lightly hazed, pale golden brew. Yummy, resinous, piney aromas waft all over the room as more partiers fill their glasses with this fantastic IPA. What a treat! Sweet and light bodied, a mellow brew that doesn’t try to be a double IPA in regular IPA clothing. Abrupt finish with plenty of resin, citrus, and floral notes to keep me interested long after the swallow. Excellent.

Pint from brewpub. Nice, very hoppy aroma with lots of pineyness, some sweetness and caramel maltiness in the nose with a bit of hemp. Mildly hazy orange copper color with a small off-white head. Piney-hopped start with hemp-like flavors. Turns roasted and malty then mildly sweet with a woodsiness and a bit of caramel. Finishes with a mild hop profile. Very nice mouthfeel. Solid!!

Decent sized head that reduces slowly. Reforms nicely upon swirling. Slightly hazy dark orange. Big juicy hops aroma. Resinous spruce and pine. Body is a little bit thin. Roasty flavor with plenty of hops. Little bit of citrus and pine. Dry chalky bitterness late swallow. Really puckers the mouth. Finish is dry and chalky but not a bad chalky with a lingering hops bitterness. Good stuff.

Growler thanks to Casey I think @ RLB YEHA 05. Aroma has a very intense hoppy aroma with tons of pine-tree in there and lots of harsh sticky lupulin in the flavor. Im thinking lots of chinook and warrior hops throughout. Body is somewhat on the light side which lets all the hops shine through even more. Good west coast style IPA.

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is pineapple, apricot, mango and lots of tropical fruits. Flavour is dry grassy, but balanced up by hops and spices. Aftertaste is mainly tropical fruits.

On tap at the Connecticut Brew Fest. Cloudy orange/brown, thin film of a white head. Big pink grapefruit nose. Beautiful, even, bitter grapefriut and pine resin flavor. Lovely!

Draft, Cambridge House. Pours a hazy, bold medium orange color, like pulp or orange tea; off-white head with great retention and fine-bubbled lacing that sticks forever; another beautiful beer from The Cambridge House. Generous orange and earthy hops in the aroma; chewy, some resins, no astringent bitterness; clear, bold expression of (I think) Amarillo. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: clear, chewy orange hoppiness and some earthy, biscuity texture underneath; no astringency; zesty citrus / oranges at the tip of the tongue; very nicely done IPA. Lengthy finish, showing some lingering orange and mineral bitterness and toasty / biscuity malts.

Another fine beer from the folks here at the Cambridge House. This one poured with the usual head, good retention, excellent lacing. The aroma was grapefruit and citrusey more than anything. The flavor followed the aroma and was smooth, highly drinkable for an IPA. A nice nightcap to a good beer day.
