Dissapointing a bit. Pour is opaque red/brown with little to no head. Nutty and a bit watery with notes of coffee, fruit cake, and leaves. Did not particularly care for this.

On tap at brewery, very ashy and rOasty, not what I would expect from a sweet stout, not too drinkable

Growler. Pours a black body with a tan head. Lots of oatmeal, lighter chocolate malt, some caramel and a mild roast y body. Soft and thin, a nice session stout.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep jet black with a medium tan head. Caramel, roast, vanilla, wood, and Maggi (Swiss cooking sauce…little like soy sauce, but with an herbal component). Little thin, but piles of roast. Finishes with some long smooth roast fueled bitterness.

Pours black with a slight brown tint. This isn’t sweet like al ot of oatmeal stouts it taste like plain oats, which isn’t a bad thing. coffee and bitter chocolate is veryt noticeable. Extremely smooth and very drinkable.

Beige head atop brown-black body. Aroma is medium sweet, coffee, some chocolate -- a very pleasant mocha. Taste is medium sweet, roast/coffee, light chocolate, earthy. Watery light-medium body.

Rastacouere (6041) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 17, 2008
Light off-white head atop a close to black pour. Fair roastiness is the first noticeable feature and its comes across rather ashey. Almost meaty flavour profile, filling. Powdered chocolate, fresh blackberries, soft citrusy hops (lemon). medium bodied, quite drinkable. Smooth palate, but biting carbonation. This brewer clearly has mastered the art of balance, but I did not appreciate too much the combination of roast and lemon - an old nemesis of mine.

Draft, Cambridge House. Pours a very dark, chocolate brown color; khaki head with excellent retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Roasted malts and chocolate in the aroma; a bit of smoke coming through as well; solid amounts of roast. Coffee grounds and lightly roasted malts in a medium mouthfeel; bitter chocolate, a light mineral bitterness, and perfect levels of carbonation; some dough and smoke coming through in the finish; roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee; ends dry.
