Lots of Rye malt stacked up against Chinook and Centennial. Spicy and Round like Cartman but not as divisive. American Yeast meets English and German base Malts.

Tasted 10/29/11. Pint from the Brewpub. Pours filtered with a caramel brown hue. Bubbled, bone white head. Aromas of caramel and brown sugar. Medium bodied with a solid malt bill. Medium roasted and toasty malts. Mildly burnt with a tasty rye bitterness. Mildly tart and tangy. Tastes very fresh and crisp. The finish is sticky and cloying to offset the dry malt flavors. Subtle cinnamon and peppery note. Mild cola sweetness and faint hops. Solid drinker!

On draught at the brewery.
Pours a deep golden color with a good head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is nicely herbal with some citrus like and leafy hops. The malt displays some nice marmalade character.

The flavor is lightly sweet & really nicely hoppy. It’s clean with a nice fruity character all around.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a near clear gold with an orange hue and an off white head that dissipates slowly. Aroma has earthy grain with some light rye and a bit of grassy hops. Flavor has a nice rye note with a hint of citrus, some grass and a bit of earthiness.

Draft… RBSG 2014… Mostly-clear yellow ale with a small, wispy white head. Good retention. The bouquet is citrusy, rindy and offers a modest measure of hearty grain spiciness. Medium-bodied with prickly carbonation. Crisp and bitter with spicy grains in both the flavor and the tongue-numbing, lightly bitter finish. Grainy rye aftertaste.

Draft - Subtle rye and hops. Cloudy copper with a decent white head. As with all their beers, this is a subtle quaffable beer. Mellow rye, biscuit and hops.

Tap@ brewery during RBSG 2014: Coppery hue with okay head and better lace. While not over the top the rye bread character is there with all it loveliness and twang. Nice fair handed citric and piney notes work with grainy notes. The mouth feel is quite dry and a little spicy, wished it was more rounded. All things said, yet another winner and at 4.5% ABV packed a lot of punch for a sessionable ale.

On tap @ The Civil Life. A bit of a cloudy orange color with a small white head. Nose of rye bread, toast, floral hops, and grass. There’s a bit of apple and fruity esters to it as well. Lots of bready malt. Flavor is lightly bitter, plenty of floral and earthy hop character. Quite leafy. Intense bread and rye character. Some malt sweetness, cracker, and subtle orange notes.
