German Yeast, North American Spring and Winter Wheats, Hallertau Hops. We fermented on the warmer side of this yeasts spectrum so that classic Bread, Banana, and Clove combo shows through. Tasting this one progress through fermentation has been awesome.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours a cloudy gold with a white head. Taste sweet, wheat, clove. I thought this was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is hard to detect with some wheat malt and again not much else. Flavor is more of the wheat malt then anything. Some clove I guess if you use your imagination. No real banana esters like you would like. Not one of their best efforts.

On tap. Pours a cloudy pale golden color with a fair head that fades to bits of lacing. Mild aroma of citrus, malt sweetness, grain and a hint of yeast. taste of some malt sweetness , bit of citrus and grain. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly light body, crisp, smooth and refreshing. Nice balance. Nice beer for the style.

Tap @ The Civil Life. Pours a pretty clear, hazy golden appearance with a white head. Spicy, light clove, lemon, wheat aroma. Grainy wheat malty, clove, light nutmeg, lemon flavor. Not hard to drink but not very Bavarian-like.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2014 Tasted on tap at the brewpub in a nonic half-pint glass, then a growler to go. It poured a hazy golden color with everlasting, billowy white foam and sticky lace. Definite Weizen yeast profile: banana, clove, some black pepper. More banana in the aroma, more pepper and clove in the flavour. Nice mineral-water and chalkiness in the mouthfeel, too. Well-rounded mild bready flavors with a measured flowery noble hop balance. Crisp snap at the finish. Another well-crafted and delicious offering from Civil Life, and one of the best weizens I’ve ever had. So, so good.

Tap-ITAP in Soulard St Louis, MO june 2012-pours very lightly hazy yellow with a very minimal whtie head around the rim of the glass. very grainy/husky nose-husky cereal (think grape nuts) with a touch of hops. flavors are very husky cereal like qualities. not much going on here. maybe an old keg or something?

64 ounce growler courtesy keir, from the growler swap, poured a nice golden yellow color with aromas of banana, wheat, and light citrus. Flavors are light wheat, some light toast, light banana, light clove, refreshing outside cooking in the Florida heat. Thanks for the growler Keir! I can drink this beer all day.
