beautiful purple red. Aroma of gym socks and buttery wood. Tastes very acetic, blackberries, big diacytol butter, lemons. Sharp acidic palate.

From a bottle into a goblet. The pour is a hazy grapefruit pink orange. A medium bodied sour with Black currants notes. Sweet and sour with a lot of c02. I like it.

Bottle. Head is initiall small, frothy, pink, mostly diminishing. Body is medium reddish-pink. Aroma is lightly yeasty (dough), with notes of dish rag, raspberry, cranberry, apple seeds. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately to heavily acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately to heavily acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Another strike for The Commons...not very clean, and not very expressive fruit character either.

Pours a headless fruit punch coloured body. Nose is gloriously tart, berry. Flavour is oddly artificial, the black currant has a short sweetness and turns sour quickly. Falls short.

Bottle. Clear reddish brown pour with a white head. Mild berry aromas. Big currant notes. Sour berry, mild caramels, and barrel notes. Good body and mouthfeel.

Capped 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy rose with a slight, pinkish head. Mild aroma of fruit with a hint of sour. Med body or so. It’s lightly sour, a little dark berry, and there might be a very light touch of barnyard/lactic. Seems so. Lightly tart. Rather mouth smacking. Finishes pretty much like the flavor at the start. Nice.

Sample at the DBLDP on 08/31/2014. Hazy dark red color with pink around the edges, and a medium pinkish-white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of florals, berries and yeast. Light-bodied with a blackcurrant character and notes of yeast and herbal wheat. The finish is fruity with a berry aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle @ AirBNB Arts Colony. Hazy bright pink-red pour with a fizzy white head. Grapefruit juice, champagne yeast, and musty funk. Some mushroom and lemon juice. A lot of tart berries. Flavor has more cassis than the nose. Lots of sour fruit. Lemons and green apples, some mushroom, and grapefruit juice. A strong mineral and yeast character as well. Lightly acetic.

Bottle. I’m always very suspicious of pink beers, so when it poured a mostly clear reddish color with a moderate pink head, I was scared. Nose is sour and fizzy, with a bit of currant to it. Taste is quite sour and will make your mouth pucker up, but has a pleasant sour fruity bite. Good beer to share.

Older batch (got a fresh one waitin in the wings to compare). More tart than sweet currants up front and center. Tart and refreshing, with a good layer of funk and light grain. Would be a great summer brew, especially."
