On draught at Saraveza for My Beery Valentine 2013. Surprisingly understated flavor, but there is a lot going on: raspberry, cocoa, and a hint of bourbon.

Deep chestnut pour with tan head. Aroma is big bourbon, dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruit. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. Flavour has lots of oak, coffee, chocolate, dark fruit and bourbon. Lingering sweetness with slightly smoky bourbon notes. Low bitterness. Lots going on.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2014 Bottle. Dark brown beer with a tan head. Bourbon and chocolate aroma with light fruitiness. Bourbon and chocolate flavor with banana, spice, fruitiness, and caramel. Medium-plus bodied. Bourbon and chocolate lingers with cherry, yeast, and light spice. Gets a little too much cola influence.

Poured from bottle to glass. Dark brown hue with a red tint and fizzy tan head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is cherries, chocolate, leather, bourbon, soy, ethanol. Mouthfeel is nice with a full body and high carbonation. Taste is dry initially with a bitter astringentness in the following and dry ethanol in the finish. Overall this is a nice brew but is a bit jumbled. It should blend together a bit and improve with some time.

Draught at the brewery during Zwickelmania 2014. Solid fruity nose, dark fruit (but not really cherries), and ground up flower petals. Near black. Boozy and bourbon right away / cherries come out well in mid / a sweet intensity along with alc. warmth / fruity final, which fades out slowly as some astringency develops in finish. Medium body. Bourbon-barrel aged for six months, then cherries and cacao added for one more month. Cherry flavors evident, cacao not so much. Smooth and rich.

Brownish amber, small white head. Yeasty with some tart fruit. Taste is a bit nothingish, carbonation is way too high, gusher.

Brett and vanilla with a strong sour nose and some red berry fruit. Super carbonated. Very sweet cherry, wood, heaps of vanilla and a tiny bit of spirit amongst the caramel of the finish.
