Brewed predominantly with organic 2- row, the malt bill is rounded out with organic light munich, organic 60L crystal and caravienna. Northwest Golding and Hallertauer hops provide a pleasant hop character. Right out of primary fermentation this beer is decidedly an American Pale Ale, but as it enters secondary, a bridge to Belgium is built with a dose of Brettanomyces Bruxellensis. A 5 week maturation results in slightly dry, fruity beer with a hint of floral Brett character that will evolve over time.

Thanks to swellbrewer for sharing this one. Cheers, Justin! Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is citrus brett with some barnyard and some mild floral hops. Flavor is similar- nice brett/ barnyard with some citrus and floral hops. Big surprise here. NIce, enjoyable, borderline sessionable wild.

medium caramel amber body, lightly hazed.
lightly acetic nose; medium oak; dried cherry / cranberry esters.
brett plastic / band-aid.
medium-high acid; medium-low bitterness.
toasty / crunchy malt, but well-suited firm.
the acid seems to bury the huskiness apparent in the Avant Flandre.
minimal hop character.
quite good, balanced, subdued, measured.

Gold, bubbly, thin and unimpressive white head. Aroma is tart lactic, maybe light grain, fairly simple. Flavor has lactic, grain, and green olives, a very interesting touch that I liked but didnít necessarily impress my drinking companions. An ok sour with simpler lactic character.

Served in a cervoise. Thanks, Aaron! Fairly-strong levels of Brett. Barnyard and some phenolics with backing cherry. Very dry.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2014 Bottle - Smells sweet and sour with hints of cherry and orange. Hazy orange with a thick long lasting head. Sour on the tongue with some surprising bitterness and a yeasty finish. Individual flavours are hard to discern with the sour and bitterness overwhelming the palate. Would pair nicely with food, but not enough on its own. Draft - So much better than the bottle, more like a Flemish. Finish us still weak but the flavours come through. Will rate based on this.

Pure amber with a crested, rocky foam of off white. Very fruity on the nose with dull peach, and a light soapy tingle. In the mouth it is so silky and light it beggars belief. It is dry, creamy, funky and fruity with some true hop bitterness of a low-to-medium strength. The finish is very sweet and toasty but is well balanced by the creamy Brett.

Bottle with Carla. Pours a clear golden orange with fine white foam. Smells sweet with hints of orange, cherry and hint of sour. Tastes lightly sweet, but also has more bitterness than Iíd expect from the smell. Hints of sourness and though more bitter, this is probably the closest Iíve had to an authentic flemmish sour ale that wasnít actually from the region.

Tasted on 5/14/12 from a capped 750mL bottle brought to me by my friend Chris from Portland. Thanks Chris. Pours hazy dark orange with a very thick off-white head that slowly recedes to thick, rocky lace, leaving thick residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is a straightforward bretted hoppy beer with nice orange peel and spicy brett. The flavor is lightly bitter up front, with some orange peel, moving to the spicy brett, and finishing with nice hops bitterness. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long, spicy brett and bitter hops finish.
