Draft at Grain and Gristle, Portland. Pours a rich, dark brown, good amount of tan head. Aroma oats up and down, slight roast character. Body lovely and slight, finish crisp and sweet with that lovely open roast character that the best low ABV dark beers have. Would drink all day.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery.
A: An abyss of black; thin head, OK lacing.
N: Espresso, lactose, cocoa, and vanilla. Astounding nose for an oatmeal stout.
T: Very weak version of the nose. Mild sweetness and a weak coffee bitterness.
M: Round mouthfeel that’s slightly watery.
O: Wasn’t as pleased with this one because the taste fails the nose. I’m not expecting a hearty RIS, but a bit of depth in the body would help.
