Draught at St. Augustineís, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color with compact head. Mild yeasty and spicy aroma. Dry mouthfeel; light bread flavor, light stale bread impression too, plastic touch, timid yeast spiciness, ordinary bitterness. Canít identify it as Farmhouse, just a dry Wheat.
Mostly boring.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours a dense, finger-thick white head over an almost clear, pale golden body. The aroma has a little yeasty and pilsnerish touch, with piney and resiny hops in the back. Some peppery hints. Itís medium bodied and quite dry, with a bit heavy carbonation level. Lemony, piney hops, a nice bitterness, pale malts and a faint fruity sweetness in the flavor. Lasting dry and bitter finish. Not my favorite farmhouse ale, but itís quite decent. 141025

Gave a cloudy pour, so cloudy tan with a big head, yeasty, peppery, floral nose is classic saison. Sweet malty, pale malt, character with peppery yeast, dusty character. Good balance...sound example.

Capped 750 from Made in Oregon. Pours rather dishwater gold with a 4+ finger foamy/creamy white head. Which did a bit of ringing. Aroma through all the foam hints at earthy citrus sour. Full bodied - tho the carbonation likely accounts for much of that. Flavor is wheaty?, citrus, earthy near funky. Damn this is pretty tasty ale. The back parts of my mouth have stood to attention. The rye spice aspects are particularly, to me, unusual in a saison. Finishing earthy/spicy/dry. Just excellent.
