mmather (113), Colorado, USA May 3, 2008 from a 22 oz bottle. pours a wonderful light copper color, very clear. Light on malt aroma. Flavor is nice and lightly caramelly with a hint of toasted malt. Very well done, very drinkable.
RollinHard (543), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Aug 29, 2008 Pours burnt orange, copper with a medium sized white head, and a small, lasting ring of foam. Aroma of toast, caramel, almonds, and leaves. Tastes caramelly at first, with a hint of bread dough, transitioning to a more toasty breadcrust and almond finish. Toasty on the throat, but I wouldn’t call it bitter, cause it’s so easy going. Like liquid bread, all flavors are clean and earthy. Medium to light bodied, slightly cloying but overall quite refreshing. Right up there with Great Lakes Eliot Ness. RaginCajun (261), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 16, 2008 I’m not sure if I was expecting more if this beer was just that flat. Faint aroma of hops. No head, golden blond body. Well balanced, but very weak flavor. Thin malt profile. I was expecting a lot more from this beer, but it is a very meek and flavorless brew. ilovedarkbeer (769), Dallas, Texas, USA Apr 12, 2008 on tap. tasted with BMan1113VR. caramel color with some orange highlights. lots of carbonation and ubbles in the body. nose is sugar and caramel with some good lacing. Bananas and spice in the nose and taste and there is some honey and sugar in the finish. Not bad.
