Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 19, 2006 An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is light with notes of berries and caramel. The flavor is sweet and at first with a note of citrusy hops, before notes of caramel and nuts sets in, and then an OK bitter end takes over, to last for a decent time with a slight nutty note. argo0 (6230), Washington DC, USA Mar 30, 2006 (12oz bottle, best by 4/06, thanks wilkie) Clear copper body with large off-white head that retains well. CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jan 11, 2008 Bottle, best by 12/07: Pours a clear copper orange with a large, highly-carbonated, airy off-white head. Aroma of slightly doughy caramel malts with some piny hops and a hint of clove. Body starts with some light caramel sweetness and a touch of yeasty balance toward a slightly earthy, bittersweet finish. A pretty good amber that’s quite drinkable. hopdog (4648), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 31, 2005 Bottle acquired in trade with Johnathan3584 (thanks!). Bottle best before 9/05. Poured a dark and slightly cloudy amber/copper color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, oranges and light nuts. Tastes of caramel, toffee, nuts, citrus with light hops in the end. Aromas were stronger than the tastes. Creamy if somewhat watery and thin body.
