GABF 2008. Near-black brown, thin brown skim. Complex aromas and flavours, with earthy coffee bean, woodsmoke, cigar box, vanilla all playing across the palate. Burnt malt, vegemite, prunes, and black cherries. Heavy oily mouthfeel, liquid velvet. Interesting acidic tartness in the finish. Truly marvellous complexity! This required several samples.

Bottle from suttree. Thanks!
Pours like a liquified dark Baltic night with an olive green head. Aroma is a rush of chocolate coffee cocoa milk with roasted nut creme added. Wow! Total assault of roasted chocolate cocoa powder, cherry, and alcohol with hint of smoke in the finish with every sip. Perfect texture that leaves the battered palate screaming for more abuse. Absoluely delicious; lives up to and jumps over the hype.

Thanks to BMan1113VR for giving me this bottle. Pours a thick dark black brown color with a medium sized light brown head. Very thick pour. Nose is mostly beef jerky and some sweet berries, slightly smokey, just tasty. Taste: red fruit, meaty teriyaki, sesame seeds, smoke, just thick and chewy. A delicious beer.

Thanks to Hank1980 for the bottle!
Pours black, bubbly tan head. Nose is smoke and salt, with fruit and lots of roasted malt, some minor chocolate. Alcohol is more noticeable in the flavor, as is the fruit, which is nicely balanced by the coffee. Decent body, oily and a little clinging. Good stuff here, if a little straightforward.

Courtesy of cigarcitybrew. Pours black, off-white head. Aroma is fruity (raisin), grainy, some nice caramel notes. Taste, alcohol is noticable. Some roastiness, cofee and grains, add some nice chocolate malts in the mix and this is one fine Baltic Porter.

huge black pour, big billowy mocha head. Aroma is big on chocolate, coffee sweet roasted malt, alcohol, and some licorice. Flavour is big on the chocolate also, with a tinge of alcohol, the finish is bitter and chocolatey, wth some great licorice notes that linger in the end. very very nice, but i would consider this more of an impy stout than a porter, but holy hell this is delicious.
