Commercial Description:
The Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter is deep, rich and velvety soft. A full blooded roasty character is balanced by complex alcohol notes. Strong (9% alcohol by volume) yet unfailingly subtle, this special brew warrants sipping and savoring.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Almost black with a tall dark brown head. Aormas of smoke chocolate. Taste of cholate and roasted malts that begins somewhat sweet but turns to an acid/sour taste. Strong alcohol burn. Somewhat disapointing, but willing to give it a second chance at a later time.

Poured a very dark brown almost black color. Aroma was mainly of roasted malts and coffee. Flavor was very smooth chocolate/malt flavor with a linger alcohol tinge. Good. But not as great as expectations.

bottle thanks to turdferguson. pitch black pour with a thin caramel colored head that dissipates rather quickly. thick roasted malts and chocolate on the nose with a very slight alcohol background. not as thick as i was expecting but still a very nice mouthfeel. big chocolate flavors in the front that turn into a nice dark chocolate almost fruity flavor finish.

bottle. (notes) Pours a scary dark thick brown with a big head of dark tan foam that clears away pretty quick. Smells of alcohol, dark toffee, and heavy, bitter roasted malts. Tastes of dark fruits, raisins, mild bitterness, a great toasty malty flavor. Very non-aggressive and smooth. Well balanced, flavors filling out more as it warms. Very smooth and even on the palate with medium carbonation. Very enjoyable and unique porter.

Bottle. Huge roasted malt aroma. Additional aromas of licorice, chicory & light tobacco smokiness. Pours a deep dark brown with very slight tan head. Taste is molasses sweet with licorice, heavy roastiness, caramel. Some bitterness lingers on the palate well after indulging. Overall nice beer

Bottled sample via radiomgb, shared with oakbluff. Black in colour with low to moderate carbonation. Aromas of vanilla and chocolate fudge, along with red berry fruit, licorice, and a bit of booze. More vanilla, chocolate, and red fruit in the mouth, along with molassas, caramel, and a bit of pink pencil eraser. Medium to heavy in terms of body, with a slightly acidic finish. Very nice.

Big thanks for OldStyleCubFan for this one!! Pours dark black with a wonderful aroma of cocoa, coffee, and licorice. taste starts out with a heavy coffee flavor, and has notes of smoke, wood, dark fruits, and licorice. Finishes both bitter and smoooth. Very thick mouthfeel. Medium-high carbonation. Big, impressive beer.

Bottle: Jet black pour with a tan halo of a head. Big espresso notes come strong from the get-go...notes of chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits and a smokey/woodsy tone present as well. This is really quite intense on the nose in a wonderful way. Nice body to this, starts of silky and slowly thins out a bit and allows the full range of flavors to shine through. Though somewhat boozy, this is massive in terms of overall flavor...notes of mocha espresso, black cherries and dark malts. Wonderful stuff.
