Commercial Description:
The Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter is deep, rich and velvety soft. A full blooded roasty character is balanced by complex alcohol notes. Strong (9% alcohol by volume) yet unfailingly subtle, this special brew warrants sipping and savoring.

Thanks for sharing another gem Yaniv! Dark dark brown black with decent tan head, thinning rather rapidly. Lightly creamy acidity. Chocolate. a bit of floral hops. Really smooth, truly surprising. Smooth subdued body with fine bubbles and perhaps a bit of something in it like chalk? Not bad, just full. Shallow caramel sweetness with a bit of acidity reigning it in. A bit of restrained creaminess. Some roast, alcohol, floral hops. Rather surprised by the lingering alcohol and associated warming. Roasty acidity. This is really more like a sophisticated little imperial stout thinner and more balanced on the sweetness than an even sweeter usual baltic porter. A nice beer, one to keep an eye peeled for.

12oz bottle from ucusty, thanks D. Aroma has notes of dried fruits, roast malt, and tangy dark chocolate. Average sized brown head that mostly disappeared and left little lace. Very dark brown black hue. Flavor is a little sour and sweet and finishes slightly roasty and slightly bitter. Palate is med/full bodied and soft. Alcohol is there but well hidden. A very good beer.

A lot like Duck-Rabbit’s Barleywine, but sweeter, with some dried-fruit and chocolate notes. Alcohol well-disguised. This is some silky-smooth stuff.

Scored a SIX PACK from Total Wine in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice dark brown color with a small head. Aroma is cocoa and some roasted notes. Taste starts out roasted then is lightly bitter with some cocoa and floral notes. Wonderful beer.

12 ounce bottle shared with Illini08. Thanks! Poured a dark brown color with a very small head that disappeared quickly. The aroma of this beer was extremely interesting. I was definitely not expecting what I smelled. At first there was an overwhelming smell of floral. As the beer warmed I could sense some chocolate and coffe hints. The taste was also very interesting. Tasted floral with chocolate and coffee hints coming at the end. Left a nice bitter aftertaste in my mouth. This was an awesome experience and I would love to try this one again!

Thanks, Sam! My Duck-Rabbit tour continues. Nice to have a really big American beer with balanced complexity, instead of excessive hops. Bottle pours black with brown head. Nose of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, tinges of smoke and toasted walnuts. Sweetish, roasty flavor, only mild bitterness. Finish and aftertaste uphold that triumvirate nicely. Flat-out delicious.

Trade from illinismitty. Pours dark brown with no head. Nice complex aroma of chocolate and dark fruit. Nice sweetness with enough bitterness at the end to let you know the hops are there. Very nice. Thanks Sean. Re-rate - Managed to get ahold of some more of this. After trying a couple more bottles, I have to bump it up a little. Re-re-rate - Put some in the basement for a month. Liked it better fresh. It seemed more roasty, more sweet, after it sat for a while.

12 oz bottle from Emacgee. Almost black in color with a medium tan head. Aroma: alot of chocolate, light notes of roasty coffee, caramel. Taste is initially a big blast of chocolate and heavily roasted malt, giving way to caramel sweetness and light fruity esters. Medium to full bodied with only a hint of alcohol perceived. Some lingering roasted malt bitterness in the finish.
