Commercial Description:
The Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter is deep, rich and velvety soft. A full blooded roasty character is balanced by complex alcohol notes. Strong (9% alcohol by volume) yet unfailingly subtle, this special brew warrants sipping and savoring.

Bottle via trade with Boutip. Pours a rich deep brown with some large cola size bubbles. Spicy pepperoni and chocolate to the nose, with some smoke, coffee, rich roasty malt in aroma and taste. Well carbonated and dry. Incredibly good, need to get some more!

Bottle. Pours an almost complete black, small tan head that dissipates rather quickly, leaving a fleeting wispy head around the edges. Aroma is subdued roast coffee, chocolate and in the background some alcohol. Flavor is right away bitter-sweet, roast coffee, bakers chocolate, malt, a touch of dark fruit and just a touch of alcohol. Bitterness on the finish, but mellows rather quickly.

12oz bottle at matt7215’s place, his bottle, thanks for holding onto this one for me Matt. Pours a nice viscous dark brown, barely translucent with a tiny mocha head. The aroma is huge on the soy sauce, also rich burnt caramalt and toffee, leather as well as anise. Not amazing but nothing too off-putting. The flavour is full of the above mentioned aspects working well off of eachother as well as some residual sugar and a fuller mouth-feel. Surprisingly fizzy, though thankfully this doesn’t spoil the show. A tad astringent and with okay balance but not escaping the realm of a very sweet beer. No fruity esters as one would expect from a beer made with lager yeast. Not my favourite Baltic Porter, though I still quite enjoyed it. Nicely done though I don’t fully comprehend such a high rating.

Bottle from BelgianBeerGal (Thanks!) Dark black pour, almost no carbonation. Aroma was sweet malts, and rich boozy chocolate. Flavor was roasted malts, tobacco, vanilla, and boozy (with a little smoke) on the finish. A very good and well balanced beer!

Small, creamy, tan head with a little lacing. Great body and great taste. Sweet, yet zesty bitterness as an aftertaste. Wonderful chocolate color and a chocolate flavor. I would definitely drink it again if someone placed it down in front of me.

Pour is a viscous black color with a brown head. Aroma of tart cherries with a ton of chocolate and malt. Flavors are bold and unrelenting with chocolate and a fruity tartness dominating. Very good and very drinkable.
