3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an opaque black with one finger ruby/tan head with with light ot moderate lacing. Roasted malt with hint of coffee, dark fruit, and vodka like booziness to it. Sweet up front, but acrid and bitter with the alcohol presence. Medium body with light to medium carbonation. Long, smooth bitter and vodkalike finish.

Poured black with a very minimal tan head. On the nose hints of chocolate, coffee and sweetness. On the tongue dark roasty malts, finishes with a smoothness and a small alcohol bite.

Bottle, thanks sevenhokie! Great aroma to start off with dark fruit and chocolate and a tiny bit of coffee. Pours black with a thin, light brown head and excellent lacing. Taste is chocolate up front with the dark fruit less prominent. Finishes velvety smooth with the hint of coffee coming through slightly. Chocolate notes linger on the palate after tasting. Really, really awesome beer.

12 oz bottle for 3 bucks. Pours black with no head to speak of. Aroma is licorice, a little fruity and some chocolate. Taste is similar but more heavy on the chocolate side, with a little coffee flavoring in there as well. Body is like most Duck-Rabbit beers, thinner than I like for the style of beer. Feels a little too carbonated as well. Overall another solid offering from Duck-Rabbit. This is a very good Baltic Porter but could be a little better.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours very dark brown with low light brown head. No lacing. Aroma is of molasses (slightly rancid), licorice, peat, nuts, raisins. Taste is of peat, roasted malt, licorice, old coffee, minerals, alcohol, burnt caramel. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Overall: Weird. Special. "Complex" but some of the aspects are not on the good side, i.e. the burnt rancid molasses.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is black with a tiny dirty ring that leaves some lacing. Nose is really spicy with star anise in the lead along with licorice and other spices over a dark fruits base. Taste has a weird metallic quality and some light green apple. Otherwise it is sweet and roasty. Medium-full bodied with a smooth carbonation. I wasn’t a huge fan of this one...

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (12 oz). From AlexFields, thanks! Reddish brown with a small beige head and no lacing. Aroma is of peated notes, port, raisins, liquorice and molasses with light "garbage presence". Taste is of raisins, light/moderate sweetness, molasses, malt and a light (more than in the aroma) garbage presence. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Complex. Slightly "off", but still interesting.

pours unclear very dark brown with a small light beige cap, some retention and lacing. raisins, port, coca-cola, ormaybe more dr. pepper, hazelnuts, burnt caramel, umami, some garbage juice unfortunately. moderate carbonation - numerous small bubbles, slightly disturbing the mouthfeel, light to medium body - oily, assertive bitter coffee, grassy and mineral finish. nice.

At my place by myself. This was an extra, I have not heard of it. Pours suit black with pretty much zero head. Aroma is huge scotch and booze with some caramel and nutty malt. Not sure if I smell Baltic vinegar or it is in my head due to the word association. taste is caramel, vinegar tang, smooth chocolaty malt, but has that Baltic bite. I’m not sure if I like or dislike the Baltic notes, but is is very smooth and tasty. One of the better Baltic porters I have had; I am normally a robust porter man.
