4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle into snifter glass, dark black with dark tan lacing (no real head). Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, smoke, kind of a red wine note and earthy hops. Taste adds notes of dark chocolate, dark coffee, raisins, berries, caramel, molasses and a faint vinegary-sour note. Medium heavy body, low carbonation, rich, soft, creamy with ashy roast finish. This is RB’s #1 Baltic porter for a reason, enjoying this very good sipper.

355 ml bottle. Pours a pitch black colour with a small creamy head. Aroma of rich roastiness, nuts and strong cacao notes. Rich flavour of roastiness, sweet caramel, grassy bitterness, mild yeastiness, earth and spiciness. Almost full bodied. Creamy mouthfeel. Surprisingly good drinkability for a 9% beer. Great.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
33 cl bottle @ lusikka, no BBE info found.
Aroma is rather mellow with some cocoa and toffee typical to English ales. Flavour has toffee, licorice and some herbal tones - feels like a basic English stout. Nothing special here, I wonder why this is rated so high.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This beer is deep and rich. A full blooded roasty character is balanced. Tastes like a russian traditional beer from our friends at duck rabbit.
