| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 1, 2010 Bottle. Poured reddish-brown in color with a small creamy head that was mostly diminishing and had good lacing. The aroma was of grainy, nutty chocolate and caramel malts with a nice hint of hops. It tasted moderatley sweet in the beginning and finished with a bitter sweet roasted flavor that lasted a long while. Mouthfeel was full bodied and creamy in texture. Overall an excellent brown ale. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 1/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 23, 2009 A nice, subtle fruitiness to the aroma along with a floral nose. Dark reddish amber with a thick off-white head that lingers. Oily mouthfeel with alcohol present. Flavor is kind of bland with a bitter hop taste but nothing special. There are better beers out there, I can’t recommend this one. potbeercollege (471), Boulder, Colorado, USA
