wingman333 (160), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA May 24, 2007 Bottle...it’s a brown with the hoppiness of a good IPA. Floral aroma with chocolatey fruity pleasant taste, A little chalky but very unique in many ways. One of my favorites from Duck Rabbit.
dwyerpg (2062), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 28, 2008 A light hop aroma. This beer is in fine shape. A bit of hops up front. A little bit tinny in the finish. And a bit thin, but okay. SacSirPlato (17), New Buffalo, Michigan, USA Aug 26, 2008 A nice, hoppy brown ale. Very clean aroma. Spicy hops, chocolate and nutty notes. Very nice. Same in the flavor. Very balanced, clean and complex. Thanks Bleacherbum! lithy (137), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 25, 2008 Ruby brown with an enormously frothy light brown head. Nice lacing. Very hoppy aroma with undertones of sweet malts. Same in the taste, by far the hoppiest of the browns that I have sampled. Sweet brown malts are dominated by floral/grassy hops. Finishes with a distinct bitterness. dangelicom1 (17), Shelton, Connecticut, USA Aug 25, 2008 bottle poured with a very nice brown head. has a great roasted malt flavor with enough hops to satisfy a bitter palate lover. I enjoyed this beer. I wouldnt have a session with it because of how heavy it was. i thought it was very enjoyable to drink about 2 or 3 piunts at a time and then it gets to be too filling. You can taste a hint of brown sugar which gives it a small amount of sweetness. tarheels86 (32), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours almost identical to other DR’s with a giant, dark brown head that spills out of the glass and sometimes rockets out of the bottle upon opening. Lots of roasted malt and not so bitter- almost sweet. Not sure if I catch any spice. Maybe some brown sugar is in there. The hops are not as powerful as the malt and does not balance out as well as say the DR Milk Stout or Porter. The body is creamy and then aftertaste sort of dry and then neutral. Very good overall but probably my least favorite Duck-Rabbit.
