COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cherry Madness, part of a very small sour beer experiment, boasts a color black as night with complex sour aromas and flavors accented by Montmorency sour cherries.

draft at Brewvival. wow, i think this is a successful experiment. pours a dark, brownish ruby with a thin, bubbly tan head. aroma is fantastic with black cherry pits, tart red cherries, blackberries, cider vinegar, and earthy soil with a touch of bark and caramel. flavor was equally impressive with tart black cherries, wood, vanilla, wheat grass, lemon peel, and a touch of funk with just a hint of sweet cocoa. palate is mouthwateringly tart but definitely not sour with a smooth, velvety mouthfeel and light carbonation. overall, one of the surprises of the festival.

Cask at ACAT 2010. Tart cherry aroma. The flavor is faintly sour and you can see how this turned into an experiment. Pretty fruity flavor wiht a medium body and slightly sweet. I appreciate the attempt to try to salvage the batch but something was just a little off with the whole experiment. The sourness wasn’t melding with the roasti, cocoa flavors for me.

Cask @ ATL Cask fest. Poured a deep brown with hints of ruby. Nose is BIG vinegar and funk melded with sour cherries and hints of roasted grain. Flavor is lactic sourness, vinegar, funk, sweet and sour cherries, toasted malts and mild chocolate. Awesome beer.
