COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Duck-Rabbit Hoppy Bunny American Black Ale is both intensely hoppy and intensely BLACK! Eight separate hop additions offer delicious bitterness and beguiling hop aroma/flavor. Heavily represented among these hops are Chinook, which provides deep pine and sticky citrus components and a New Zealand hop called Motueka, from which we get bright fruit and spearmint notes.

Bottle--pours a deep black color. I had a large, frothy tan head (was transported back from NC), so much so that my wife said it looked like a root beer float. Aroma was malty with the hops pushing the malt away. The taste was very similar with malt on the start and hops on the finish. Smooth palate without a hop smack. Ingles. Duck-rabbit does it again!

Big sticky hop aroma, with some vegetal undertones. Pours an opaque black with a thin light tan head. The flavor is a big blast of piny hops, with a touch of roast which lingers quite some time in the finish. Very drinkable, and a really good representation of this new style.

Thought this was a really good example of the style. Pours dark and roasty with some good piney aroma. Taste is well balanced, roast, chocolate and a lot of hops. Relaxed finish, dry, satisfying.

Pours a deep black with a dark tan head. Aroma of hops and dark malt blending together for almost a scent of black licorice. Taste is dark and coffee like with a slightly tangy earthy mix from the hops. Not something I would probably order again but not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle. Pours dark brown with small tanish head. Wonderful toasted malt aroma and taste. Hops were present and fresh.

Everything that is great about a porter and an IPA combined. Big hop nose, but toasty malts are there too. Pine is evident in the nose and taste. Big mouthfeel. Aftertaste is that of a porter. Good.

Sample pour, black with light tan head. Nose is fully roasted malts with a light hop background.. maybe very slight coffee? Flavor is much more, but different... hoppy with full roasted malts... grassy, cardboard (but still very fresh)... really good.... nice lacing. really nice lacing.

12 oz. Bottle Mahogany colour with a thick, foamy head and strong lacing. A "little chunky" - tastes thick,. as I feel a true dark beer should. Tastes of caramel, bread, hay, cereal, chocolate, and coffee. Nice, balanced hops. Well done here.

Hoppy Bunny pours a dark black opaque liquid with a firm head of small bubbles. Nose is cedar hops and just a hint of caramel. Taste is dry and tasty cedar hops with medium malt apparent as a roasty nutty coffee smoothness towards the end finishing with a decent amount of good bitters. very nice beer.
