The Duck-Rabbit Märzen is the lightest of our Germal-style lagers. This is a beer designed for outdoor autumn festivals! Soft malt flavors take center stage here. This one is subtle and beguiling.

Bottle. A clear, amber beer with a finger-thick off-white head. Malty, caramel aroma with fruityness and a tiny sour hint. Slightly sourish flavor too, with caramel and fruityness, amber malts. Medium body. Short finish. Rather boring and not entirely clean. 110614

12oz bottle. Small beige head atop crystal clear copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some cherry, light earthy. Taste is moderately sweet, cherry, some caramel, faint earthy. Light-medium body, light stickiness. Too sweet for a marzen in my book, but tasty.

Deep amber with a small off-white head. Lots of bready munich malt in the aroma, with a touch of biscuit. Full flavoured bready malt flavour with a faint roasted note. A bit sweet, but with a good bitter finish. Tastes very German in character, only better than most German märzens.
