Commercial Description:
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

Deep brown, very slight head. Aroma was roasty and nutty. Flavor matched the aroma, with a hint of chocolate thrown in. Rather light bodied. Easy drinking stout, just didn’t get me fired up.

Bottle. Dark black pour, plenty of carbonation and a rich creamy chocolate aroma. Flavor was plenty of creamy roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla and finished with a little smoke. I probably would have given a higher overall rating, but there was way too much weird effervescense for me.

Bottle - thanks dmschefke. A very dark brown pour with a thin, creamy beige head. Aroma is roasty and coffee filled, just a light amount of cocoa. Tastes mostly roasty, but the cocoa comes in a close second. Lingering roast and light coffee. Good.

Pours a dark black that appears ruby when held up to the light. There isn’t any head, lacing or carbonation with this brew either. Aroma is pure coffee. Taste is a flat espresso. The body was also surprisingly thin. I am not into cold coffee, so I just wasn’t into this beer.

black body with ruby highlights, no head, brown sugar nose with mild roast, extremely sweet sugar flavor, very cloying, too sweet to drink, this is the first drain poor I’ve had in years
