Commercial Description:
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

Draft at the Pickering Creek.......Dark brown with a small tan head...coffee aromas mixed with molasses & brown sugar.....sweet roasty scents also.....creamy body.....I taste distinct coffee and sweet malty sugar( brown)....a mild bitter bite on the finish---the balance vs. the finish make this an almost perfect milk stout....but it ends too abruptly

( 12oz bottle thanks to ericandersnavy) Pours dark chocolate with great head. Nose of fruit, coffee and chocolate. Taste of baker’s chocolate, raisin, toasted malts, and a little syrupy. Finishes creamy with a roasty linger.

Creamy coffee and toffee tastes with a smooth finish. Awesome beer. I imagine drinking it around a campfire for some reason. Delicious

Bottle, pours a black beer, but not solid black. Nice light tan head that diminshes quickly. Aroma is roasty malt, coffee and chocolate. Flavor is sweet roasty and a good bite of the coffee. Body is medium with a good clean mouthfeel. Balanced and delecious!

Bottle: Poured a dark black with almost no head. The aroma was roasted malts and sweet chocolate. The flavor was milky smooth, sweet roasted malts, chocolate, and a touch of coffee beans. Overall, this is an excellent sweet stout.
