Commercial Description:
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

Bottle from Lowe’s Foods in NC. Nice roasty volatile aroma and it does have a faint milkish background. Coal black pour with a little sediment on the bottom but the brew is not opaque. Has a thin tan head. Friendly dark beer initial flavors of an old wet burned campfire log. A little stronger than I care for in a sweet stout. Alky shows thru readily. This is not quite as smooth as most sweet stouts, it even approaches the offensiveness of many impy stouts I’ve had and I guess this is why it is so highly rated on this site. Yes, many of the attributes of a imp stout, wew. Burned charred meat linger for a few minutes. Second bottle gets difficult at times.

Nice Milk Stout. Pours a rich black with a brown, thick head. Aroma is lots of lactose and roasted chocolate. Nice flavor, chocolate milk with extra roast, brown sugar, and just a touch of hops and marsh mellow. Almost like drinking a s’more. Thick and creamy mouth feel. Very nice.

Bottle from Secret Santa: Thanks! Pours a deep brown with an amber hue and a creamy dense tan head. The aroma is roasted barley, a touch of milk chocolate, earthy cocoa and graham cracker. Very nice mouthfeel with substantial creamy carbonation. Silk and cohesive taste with chocoalte, mild roast, milky/lastose sugar, and a smooth nutty roast in the finish. Very smooth, well integrated and highly drinkable. I liked this stuff.

Pours cola brown with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate. Flavor is very drinkable chocolate, coffee, and mellow vanilla/milk presence. It matches Left Hand Milk Stout on many levels, but so much fizziness detracts from the beer.

12oz bottle pours deep black with a nice fluffy brown and tan head. It lasts a long time. Big time coffee and roasted grain aroma. Nice body, but a bit thin for my liking. Very smooth beer with a good coffee, vanilla, and cream flavor. Easy going down. Great sweet stout.

Pours dark, with white/lite brown head. Not to much aroma but the taste is that of a good stout. rich malts with light taste of hops. Good overall stout.

Bottle. Pours black, with brown showing around the edges and a thin tan head. Nose is smooth coffee, a bit of sweet cocoa. Taste starts off with a smooth, roasty coffee note, but quickly pulled in by an even smoother sweet cocoa note. Really nice stout - I would drink this regularly if I had access. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a light but crisp carbonation.

Bottle from brentk56, thanks! Brown with a medium tan topper, airy and rolling back into the liquid. Aroma of dark and roasted malts, chocolate, lactose sugar and seaweed. Okay, I’m kidding on the seaweed. Taste mimics the aroma with some mild peat qualities. Not too sweet. Decent but nothing spectacular.
