Commercial Description:
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

From bottle. Sweet burnt malt and light malted chocolate-mocha with little bitterness and a mild milkiness in the nose. Dark brown-black clear with a little bit of off-white head. Medium bodied, with medium to high carbonation and mild fizzy burn. Starts a little sweet, with cocoa and light cafe creme and some mild tangy roasted to burnt malty character and light lactose sweetness. Mild bittering finish with some carbonic acidity and a light sweet smoky after.

12 oz. bottle. Thanks to trades with hellbilly and GAManiac, I have 3 bottles of this delightful beer. Pours nearly black with a few glints of ruby when held against sunlight. Large light brown head that lasted through two-thirds of the glass and left sticky lace. Pleasant aroma of milk chocolate, very lightly roasted malt, and a bit of coffee. The flavor is on the sweeter side, but not overdone with milk chocolate, lightly roasted malt and some coffee all present. Medium to full bodied with a silky mouthfeel. Some light bitterness at the finish. Very good, especially with breakfast!

Poured a nice dark brown-hint of ruby black from a 12 oz bottle. Very slight tan head that stuck around for a bit and left some nice lacing. The smell is of malts, chocolate, and a general roasted flavor. Overall, quite nice to smell. The initial tastes are of roasts and some chocolate, and overall it is balanced well and fairly smooth. Not too full though and has some light sweet and nut hints. I don’t know alot of other milk stout examples, but this is nice. Since it isn’t too full, more of a medium to light bodied beer, you could drink a few of these in a session since there’s plenty of flavorful and the ABV isn’t fatal. I would recommend this to others to try and look forward to having another if I get the chance.

Pours an opaque, very dark brown, almost black. Aroma is rich, smoky and coffee-ish with a hint of chocolate. Flavor is well-rounded, smoky, with strong coffee and unsweetened chocolate components. I recommend this very drinkable stout to all fans of dark beers.

12 oz bottle. A gentile pour yields a dark brown beer with with bright glints of copper around the edges and a huge khaki head. Aroma of raspberry flavored iced coffee. Some milk chocolate and lactose as well. Flavor mirrored the aroma. Iced coffee with creamer. Gently roasted malt, lactose and an odd sort of fruity finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. A rather oily, lactic finish distracts from the overall flavor profile of the beer. Thanks Seth!
