COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

Nice milk stout. Creamy vanilla and roasted malts in the nose. Taste is sweet milky and chocolate start with lingering bitterness. Some coffee and slight ash. Appropriate full creamy mouthfeel.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a tulip: Pours dark brown / black with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, and sweetness. Taste is fairly sweet, lactose, nuts, roasted malt, chocolate. Medium body, a little too sweet for me, but still a pretty nice milk stout.

Nice beer. Creamy, with big mocha head and lacing. Milky and a little sweet. Big roast taste. Finishes mostly with bitterness. Bottle.

poured from a 12 oz bottle at home. Pours a black with a slight head with lacing. Smell is cocoa, coffee and sweet. Taste is bitter from the chocolate? After taste of coffee. Overall a decent beer, but I’ve had better milk stouts.

Excellent beer! Vanilla, cocoa puffs & cheerwine dominate the taste with a tiny bit of tobacco & roast. This is really good!

Black pour with a slight head on draft in Raleigh-Durham (my first visit to North Carolina). Really nice brew. Not too sweet. Very drinkable.

12oz bottle. Dark brown color with beige color head. Malty aroma. Slightly sweet taste. There are better versions, but it is a good one.

[5369-20130520] 355mL bottle. Roasted nutty malt aroma. Slightly hazy, dark brown red body with long-lasting creamy tan head. Roasted nutty grains flavour has a nice long sweet aftertaste. Medium-full body. Very tasty. (7/3/7/4/15) 3.6

Pours a very dark ruby red with a good sized cappuccino head that dissipates to a perfect height. Aroma is extreme roasty, coffee, malt, brown sugar, oats, burnt cocoa nibs, slight nuttiness. Taste is creamy, coffee, light brown sugar, espresso. Palate is average, should be slightly thicker mouthfeel for this style in my opinion, although I often run into the same with cream ales, perhaps a lactose thing. Overall very pleasant, some rich darker flavors yet still sessionable. Very great standard for milk stouts
