unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Apr 2, 2008 12oz bottle. Aroma is cola, and a box of brown sugar. Pours black. Flavor is great malt character, with a perfect balance of maltodextrin. Slight lactic tang in the finish. nquantz (28), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Apr 2, 2008 Bottle - pours dark with a very small head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of charcoal & chocolate with a hint of milk! Interesting taste of a stout with an aftertaste of roasted malt and a slight hint of milk. All-in-all, a unique taste of a good stout with a hint of milk ElGaucho56 (386), USA Mar 30, 2008 Pours an obsidian black with very faint tannish head that quickly dissipates, almost no lacing. Very roasted nose, akin to burnt toast, with a rich molasses sweetness and a dark yeast character. Thin and flat on the palate, but with a rich flavor of kilned malts, bittersweet chocolate, earthy coffee notes, finishing dry and somewhat fruity, with a mild herbal bitterness like a digestif. Not nearly as sweet as I had prepared myself for, and a nicely complex sweet stout. AR (417), Georgia, USA Mar 29, 2008 A hearty beverage that pours very black. It has a roasted malt flavor that is softened by a sweet creaminess. Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Mar 20, 2008 12oz. bottle courtesy of ucusty. Aroma was carbinated something or other. Nither offensive or good just couldn’t figure out what it was. Black body with big carbinated tan head. Flavor has some roasted dry coco and no milk to speak of. Dry roasted coco on palate dendent beer Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Mar 10, 2008 Strong flavor with multi-tiered flavors of malts, coffee, cocoa, mild tartness and some minor hops presence. It very tasty make sure you give a try, nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 10, 2008 The aroma is like a milk stout should be. It’s got cream, chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. The appearance is red brown with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is a little bit thin. Overall it’s pretty good. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Mar 3, 2008 12oz bottle pours dark dark brown with amber edges and thin light brown head. Looks a bit like a Porter. First whiff contains a certain milk quality although the dominant aroma is medium to well roasted malts. I also get some mild amounts of chocolate, caramel and a faint burnt maltiness. The taste reveals much more burnt maltiness than the nose. To go along with the charredness are notes like lactose in an ample quantity, mild malt astringency and some chocolate malts. Then midway a sweet maltiness surfaces before roasty maltiness carries the experience into the after taste where it is met by more burnt malts.
