Commercial Description:
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

black but not opaque with a small dark brown head. roasty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, nuts, wood, and a light vinous character. palate is creamy but also has a fizzy carbonation. flavors are similar to aroma. not my favorite milk stout but it’s still pretty good.

Dark reddish, brown color with a small amount of tan foam. A roasty smell and taste. Medium bodied beer. It is easy to drink, therefore, I had more than one in an evening. I see a duck on the label but where is the rabbit?

Black color with a lasting tan finger sized head. Roasted mocha aroma. Milk chocolate flavor, lot’s of sweetness with just enough sharpness from the roasted grains. Medium bodied and easy to drink. Another damn fine brew from Duck Rabbit.

Bottle: Pours a black color, thin head with no lacing. The nose is bright with mocha and creamy milk chocolate notes, fairly sweet, lightly hopped. The flavor is nice and balanced though, the hops backup the rest with a sweet lactose flavor, rich roasty grains and a fairly zesty finish. Excellent milk stout, I was surprised. Paired well with tequila this night.

Pours black with a large off-white head. Roasted coffee aroma with some lactose and a hint of plastic-y smoke. Very well-balanced flavor; the commercial description is dead on. The finish is bitter espresso. Good stuff, if a little overcarbonated.

black pour with a thick caramel head that dies down to a nice layer of creamy froth. huge creamy, sweet malt smell and coffee. perfect thickness and a great taste of roasted malts and sugar. this is my first duck rabbit beer and it’s definitely not going to be my last.

Pours dark brown with reddish hints. Thin head. Aroma is roasted malt, sweet, with a touch of smoke. Pleasing expresso, roasted malt flavor. A touch of lactose tartness balances the flavor. Thick mouthfeel. One of the better Milk / Sweet stouts from a brewery that does dark beer well.

12oz Bottle Brougth back from NC thanks to a good beer mule. Pours out a dark clear brown topped with a sandy head. A nice sweet aroma of bitter chocolate and a little smoke. Tast of light sweetness some good roast malt. Not as thick as I was thinking it would have been. Overall pretty tasty.
