It is so smooth & easy to drink, you almost dont know it is a stout. Must be the milk...
A good friend brought one to me. I expected little from it but O.M.G. , knowing that he had had several before, I nearly killed him to obtain his blood & stomach fluid so that I may have more MILK STOUT! DeweyDell (155), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 21, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours almost black with a thin off-white head. Fantastic chocolate aroma. Strong dark-chocolate taste, lots of roasted malts. Really one great stout, among the best I’ve had. DrHomolka (728), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 21, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours dark brown/black with a small brown head. Aroma is dry, very roasty, tasty chocolate. Taste is smooth, creamy, roasty chocolate with a hint of something strange (the lactose?). Nice mouthfeel. This is good and unique. Not necessarily a memorable beer amongst the millions of stouts out there but good nonetheless. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2007 Thanks to DrBayern for this one - Deep dark brown/black pour with a big lasting puffy tan head on it. Sweet, creamy milky roasted malt smell to it. Almost milk chocolate like. Taste was roasty, less sweet than expected, with a nice light roasty bitterness to it. A bit more carbonated than ideal in my bottle, especially for a stout, but I see the last couple raters didn’t have the same experience. I’d prefer a touch less carbonation and a tad more sweetness, however it is still a fine milk stout and one worth trying. SoLan (1411), Orlando, Florida, USA

Flavor adds sweetness and nuttiness. Medium body, balanced carbonation. Decent brew, very drinkable. beerbuzzmontreal (2911), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 13, 2007 Pours a pitch black color with a ring of light brown lace. Good aroma of chocolate and roasted malt with a lactic presence. Very pleasant lactic flavor with roasted malt and chocolate, it finishes with bitterness. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and gentle carbonation. Good stuff. yobdoog (1431), Woodridge NY, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Dark brown amber color from bottle. Nice puffy white head. Sweet creamy malt aroma. Caramelly, chocolate, roasted malt. Some oak or woodiness. background of hops taste. As it warms, off mouthfeel, not so easy going down. elgiacomo (69), Ringgold, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Bottle, best before 10/07. Pours a dark brown with a very small light brown head that diminishes to a ring. Aroma is primarily roasted. Flavor is roasted chocolate, coffee. Finish/aftertaste is a bit different and took me by surprise when I first had this. Might be the lactose/milk sugar. Took some getting used to, but I like it. Medium body with little carbonation. I do prefer their Porter, but this is a solid sweet stout.
