Commercial Description:
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

Really yummy, milky aroma. Best milk stout aroma I’ve smelled, by far. The milk isn’t spoiled and sour and really lactic, but rather slightly sweet, chewy, marshmallowy. Flavor is similar, with a bit less milk presence and a slightly harsh palate. Lightly roasty, and very drinkable. Great stuff

Bottle courtesy of Secret Santa: Poured a medium black color stout with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some dark chocolate notes. Taste is a mix between slightly bitter roasted malt with some dark chocolate. Body is tad too light for the style but creamy texture was well enjoyed. Very well done overall and something I wouldn’t mind having again.

Black pour with a spotty pool of cream head. Nose of roasted malt, raspberry iced tea and a hint of jasmine. Cherry lipstick. Tastes mainly of black cherries and strawberries with milk. An overdraft of dirty, thick malt. Pasty pine nuts and cranberry skins. Fairly simple with a forward, dark sweetness. Lactose isn’t as prevalent as the sweet fruity stuff, which is surprising. So the palate is quite sprightly and light, which leaves an odd, foreign impression. This could serve as a great base for something of higher gravity. Kind of interesting and nice, in a weird way. Thanks Steve!

Bottled, pours black with a tall, light brown head. Smells just amazing, very chocolaty, with touches of gingerbread and root beer. Roasted, mildly bitter dark cocoa flavor, lively mouthfeel, medium-bodied, and dry. Roasty finish and aftertaste. Beautiful package is only slightly tarnished by a little tinge of something plastic or rubbery. Still, a fun beer to drink.

Bottle. Pours with a big foamy white head that quickly dies down, leaving a small, creamier head. Burnt chocolate and coffee aromas. It definitely tastes better than it looks and smells. Complicated flavors of malts, cherries, dark chocolate, and nuts. A soda-like quality comes back in the palate and left my mouth very sticky and a bit tingly. A tasty session stout.

Bottle sampled with Mad_indian, thanks to DrBayern for sending this to me. Pours dark with a good size tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, and sweet ness. The flavor is sweet, chocolate, roast, with traces of bitterness in the finish. Good brew.

A great smooth and creamy stout. Plenty of roast and chocolate flavors to fill the palate. Good roast to the nose sip after sip.
