hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA Jul 7, 2007 I really don’t get the "milk stout" thing. Dark brown, light aroma, some chocolate malt like flavours with a bit of coffee maybe. PorterPounder (3132), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 5, 2007 Updated: Jun 18, 2008Rerate Had time to savor it this time around. Similar description as below - up a notch. More roasted flavor noted Original 3.8Columbia, SC. - Flying Saucer - on tap. Part of the "Carolinas Flight". Dark black pour, sweet, coffee and licorice aroma. Flavor of licorice, coffee, dark chocolate, marshmallows. Thickish mouthfeel. Very enjoyable - like what I see from this brewer for the most part. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Jul 5, 2007 Pours a very dark brown color with a tan head. Nice cocoa and dark chocolate malty aromatics, mild roasty notes. Mouthfeel is creamy. The brew is thinner than you’d expect, but it’s not watery. The taste is smooth, with lightly sweet cocoa tones assisted by a light roast flavor. The flavor is subtle, but very satisfying. Seems like it should be a real heavy brew, but it doesn’t really weigh you down. Very drinkable. Slovak34 (99), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Jul 4, 2007 Chocolate undertones and a dark color accentuate this milk stout (which is brewed in North Carolina). I picked one up at The Flying Saucer in Raleigh. brewblackhole (1367), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Jul 2, 2007 Powdery brownie mix chocolate aroma, molassas also hinted at, tastey is creamy chocolate with bitterness of unsweeted bakers chocolate in finish. there is also that slight harshness, of overcooked coffee bean that I have found in several DR brews. All in all, very good Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Jun 24, 2007 Bottle. Reddish dark brown colour with a nice head. Aroma of smooth chocolate and little roastedness. Flavour of smooth chocolate and some toastedness. Ends up very smooth but with a strange finish. pintocb (508), Darsville, Georgia, USA Jun 22, 2007 Pours very dark with a small brown head. Chocolatey smells dominate. Creamy and flavorful with lots of roasty flavors. Tons of coffee flavor. Great balance of sweet and bitter. Velvety feeling but a tiny bit thin. aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jun 16, 2007 The color was deep chocolate/orange. The head was medium beige and creamy. The aroma was coffee, robust, roasty, and some sweet malt. The flavor was very roasty, coffee, robust, and sweet malt. The palate was medium-bodied. The finish was a little more abrupt than I would ahve liked but sill roasty.
