Commercial Description:
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

Decent chocolaty malt on the nose at an arm’s length. Pours red molasses in color. Almost black. Vigorous tan frothy head holds together. Full chocolaty flavor with out an aftertaste. Very smooth. Very easy on the palate. Not as suripy as it’s pour suggest. This stout doesn’t assault your buds with a excess of bitter endings, but is a nice-an-easy drinking stout. Not a feather weight nor a heavy weighed brew, but nicely in the middle.

Bottle, courtesy Shag/Clash. Poured a mahoganey brown, not as dark as the porter I had right before this one. Normal off-white to tannish head, lacing was decent, nothing spectacular for the style, though. The aroma was coffee-choco notes, probably a little more of roasted coffee than the chocolate. The flavor followed suit along with a cherry type flavor. Finished sweet, but not as sweet as the Porter (odd, given this was the "sweet" stout). Lacto notes practically lost. A decent brew, a little thin for what I was expecting. Thanks, Matt!

Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. Some lacing. Has nice sweet lactose taste throughout brew. Has hints of roasted malts and barley, and finishes heavy bodied with nice sweet taste on tongue.

Vanilla and chocolate on the nose. Pours dark brown/black with a thick tan head. Coffee upfront with a lot of chocolate and vanilla, a lot more fuller flaovor than some milk stouts. Thick on the palate. Great milk stout.
