Commercial Description:
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

Poured a dark brown/black; light brown medium sized head. Aroma was not very strong; small hint of chocolate, some roasted malt, and a smell that was a mix between yeast and floral hops. Not bad aroma overall, but a little faint. A very strong sweet presence initially; milk, sugar, and chocolate, gives way to a roasted malt, with some chocolate. Body was a little light, could have been fuller and creamier mouthfeel. About average for me.

Pours dark brown with light brown-fizzy head. Had to work to find the chocolate aroma. Taste is slightly acidic and bitter with metallic finish.

Not too bad. Poured black with a white head. Aroma was weak, but sweet. Flavor very much lactic acid, tastes similar to how milk smells.

Dark brown in colour, rich long lasting beige coloured head, great lacing. The aroma is lightly roasty, some sweet chocolate, cold coffee, some icing sugar. The flavour is very sweet (white sugar), very light roast, some almonds, toasty, light chocolate, faint coffee. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a lingering mild bitterness, turning sweet. Not to bad but a thicker body would help out.

355ml bottle obtained in a trade with <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?UserID=37058 target=blank>JCB, thanks Jason.
Best before November 2006.

Nice opaque stout but absolutely no head, roasted malt aroma with a touch of lactic acid evident, tin mouth feel for a stout, light roasted flavor like a weak cup of morning blend coffee, a very minute amount of sweetness in the finish but not enough to really call this a Milk Stout. You cold easily drink several of these in 1 sitting. The Duck Rabbit Porter is a much better brew than this.

On draft at Union Jack’s in Knoxville, TN. Pours a nice black color with minimal head. Chocolaty aroma, with a hint of hops and roasted coffee. Started out a little bitter, but mellowed off. Sweet. Was hoping for it to be creamier, but still not too bad.

Bottle thanks to DrBayern! Pours a very dark brown color with a nice tan head on top. Aroma is full of chocolate and coffee with hints of hops, milk sugar, cream, and roasted malts. Flavor is sweet chocolate and milk sugars at first followed up by bitter and bold coffee. A very drinkable sweet stout. I sometimes think about how easily obtainable Duck-Rabbit beers would be for me if I was still in TN.
