All I can say is bitter chocolate! A roasted chocolate taste pervades but there is also that smoothness that you find in a milk stout. I would definitely recommend this. decaturstevo (1980), decatur, Tennessee, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 10, 2006 Bottle thanks to the Ross, who hopes to one day play guitar as good as Angus Young. Keep practicing Ross, you’ll get there young man. Pours black with thick tan head. Heavy dark roast and coffee aroma. Nice mouthfeel. Coffee flavor with some bittering hops, and a slight sweetness. Some astringency in the roasty and bitter finish. I was expecting this to be a little sweeter being a Milk Stout, but still good. omhper (12171), Stockholm, Sweden

Aroma of coffee and corn flakes. Medium sweet with rounded creamy mouthfeel and rather light body. Plenty of butterscotch and a hint of metal. Boldly flavourful., but kind of unrefined. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 30, 2006 I found this beer to be very enjoyable, but roastier than expected. I would have guessed a milk porter if I didn’t see the bottle. The sweetness of the milk sugar was present in addition to lots of roasted malt. Earthy and a slightly sour chocolatey finish. It may sound a bit odd, but I found it to be very wonderful! This is the second effort from this brewery and I hope I can get my hands on several more! OldGrowth (1408), North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2006 Bottle, from ross. Good nose, sweet. Roasty. Chocolate, oat, chalk, seltzer. Clean orangy dark brown color. Small head that faded quickly to a ring. Ok lacing. Sweet bitter flavor. Has a nice little bite to it. Like aroma, but takes on more of a coffee taste with the chocolate. Medium body, smooth creamy oily mouthfeel. bittersweet finish. Really enjoyed this one. Had it on draught a few months back at the Flying Saucer in Raleigh. eboats (887), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
