3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
out of the pottle pours with an abundant milk-chocolate cream head that lines with fissiness if viewing from the outside and hides the thick, churning icecream core of the head that bubbles softly but begins to dissipate quickly. the deep black, amber undertoned body follows beneath. the aroma is bold yet sweet - strongly of mildly roasted coffee and milk. the taste again show-cases the coffee, complimented by semi-sweet chocolate chips, and elusive, frolicking caramel. there are snippets of almond extract, lemon and slight bitterness. the palate is velvety, cream, almost like the remains of vanilla icecream in your mouth (probably because the beer was SO cold and thick). This cream feel lingers in your mouth. Continued sips brings out the bitterness more and more until it overwhelms the sweeter, malt flavors which is unfortunately anti-climactic. good for awhile then....

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Great looking beer. Itís very near flawless in appearance. Huge fluffy head and near black liquid. This is very inviting. Looks gorgeous.
Aroma is dominated by roasted malt. Thereís some sweetness/milk chocolate in there but itís a bit abused by the roasted malt smells. Donít get me wrong, itís a wonderful smell, I just expected it to be a bit sweeter.
Taste is less sweet than the smell. Roasted malt/coffee taste overtakes the taste. Iím a litte disappointed in this beer for itís lack of complexity. I waited for it to warm up and nothing else really came out...
Glad I tried it but Iíll pass it up next time.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, and Dave, courtesy of blankboy. Black, lots of red hues, medium beige head. Nice sweet chocolate aromas, lightly hopped, with light roast (almost burnt). Huge roasty dry taste. Very long roast linger and bitterness. Creamy, does this make it a milk stout? Very nice.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
A deep roasted flavor, delicious. I was pleased to see that they are now carrying this at the local Harris Teater. This is the only brew I have tried from Duck-Rabbit so far, it wonít be the last. If you are into milk stouts you will love this one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & Dave B. -- my bottle courtesy of ross. Pours a very dark ruby-brown with an average size diminishing tan head. Nice aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, fruit and nuts. Roasty dry flavour of malt, cocoa, some hops and a mild lactic sweetness. Medium to full bodied. I found this to be a unique Stout, though not great itís still pretty good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, tupalev and Dave B - blankboyís bottle. Deep almost opaque brown with ruby highlights, large foamy-rocky light brown lasting head. Deep dry roasty aroma, hints of nutshell, molasses sweetness (hint of cola), dusty and somehow of limestone. Taste is very malty - dry cocoa, milk chocolate, dry hops, still dry but a sweet finish. Nice thick creamy mouthfeel, sweet finish - very good, not too milky though.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Near black colour. Aroma is similar to Vietnamese coffee, but with a distinct nuttiness. Full body with a rich roasty character. This lends a fair bit of acrid bitterness that is offset by decadent lactose sweetness. Not entirely traditioanl given its strength (and accompanying relatively hefty body) but it is flavourful and showcases the key ingredients well. Cheers to Suttree for hooking me up with this!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
via trade with decatursteveo - Pours black with a big tan head. Aroma is really nice. Roasted malts with a hint of coffee. The flavor is a let down. A light watery coffee flavor. Light to medium body. Decent beer. Thanks Steve.
