Dark chocolate and vanilla aromas. A little hazelnut coffee on the nose which is more pronounced on the taste. The nicest thing about this milk stout is the deft use of lactose to give a bright, milky acidity to the beer. Very classic, nutty flavors. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Apr 17, 2007 Pours a dark dark brown with a even dense, but small light tan head. The nose is just as textbook stout. A sweet roast malt, slightly sharp with a hint of acidity, but theres a nice round malt bill and a bit of floral hops that balances this out. I think the palate on this is just absolutely perfect. Rich creamy and thick. Not too viscous for the style, though certainly beyond where most milk stouts stop. This really get some special brownie points in terms of flavor. Some big deep malt really comes through beyond the obvious roast. Again, really creamy, definitely sweet, there’s some caramel, but I think it’s mostly the lactose. It’s over the acidity of the roast. Definitely some nice bittersweet chocolate but tempered by some slightly piney hops. This is a really well constructed beer and I wish I had bought a sixer fo shizzle. The creamy finish meets an acdic roasty and slightly alcoholic aftertaste. I can’t think of a better sweet stout I’ve had! MadIndian (997), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2009 Deep, dark brown with a large beige head. Milk chocolate, light herbal hops, and a medium roasted malt nose. Overly effervescent mouth. Flavor is sweet and roasted. Some cocoa, lactose, roasted malts, some molasses, and a finishing bitterness that comes more from the hops than the roasted malts. A nice stout. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 10, 2005 Bottle: High alcohol aromas with a black coffee look. Surprisingly, tangy and sour with a metallic aftertaste. It has a pretty thin feel. Not so good. Thanks Indiana_Red for sharing this at FCBC Stoutfest 05. Soonah (980), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2009 From tronraner via trade. Expectedly dark pour with a maybe one-finger tall head and not much happening in terms of lacing. The aroma was lightly roasted malts, caramel and chocolate. The flavor was milk chocolate, roasted malt and a bit of tobacco. Mouthfeel is thin to medium. biznizness (959), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Poured kind of thin. Had a great initial roasty flavor, with sweetness, pretty clean finish, almost felt like something was lacking there. not very bitter. Enjoyable. tennisjoel (953), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Dark brown pour. Thin ring of head. Aromas of roast, cream, vanilla. Very simple beer. Slight tangy and tart flavor, which IMO does not work well with this beer. Simple beer. Drinkable, but far from my favorite. I’m slightly underwhelmed with Duck Rabbit thus far, but not enough to write them off completely. Thanks zizzybalubba!
