Commercial Description:
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

Bottled. Chocolate milk with mocha coffee and some roasted grains in there. Creamy but a bit thin. Picked this up while vacationing in NC.

bottle from secret santa 2007: a deep brown or ruby tinted liquid with a dense beige head. roasty and sugary aroma, slightly tart and bitter but smells thin. light-bodied for a stout, which was evident from the translucency and sweetened aroma. somewhat astringent despite an overall sweetness; decent brew.

12oz bottle. Pours dark brown in color with very thin tan head. Aroma roasted malt and chocolate. Taste roasted malt, chocolate and coffee with bitter finish.

Another huge thanks goes out to Durhambeer for this superb beer! This pours with tat espresso swirl head with a deep brown almost black color. Aroma is roasty coffee and chocolate, very nice. Flavor has plenty of chocolate and vanilla with enough roasty flavor and bitterness to keep it fairly balanced. Very good. Palate is particularly creamy and full.

a really nice milt stout. Creamy, a bit sweet, and a nice coffeeish kick to it in the end.

Trade from Ross. Pours a dark brown color with brown fluffy head that fades quickly. Aroma of roasted coffee, chocolate. roasted grain and a hint of dustiness. Taste is chocolate, coffee, roasted grain with a touch of burnt grain. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown, almost black. An inch of head quickly fades. Sweet chocolate aroma... Flavors of milk chocolates and dark chocolates, with a bit of a sweet caramel in the finish. Nice.

Bottled, pours black with a tall, light brown head. Smells just amazing, very chocolaty, with touches of gingerbread and root beer. Roasted, mildly bitter dark cocoa flavor, lively mouthfeel, medium-bodied, and dry. Roasty finish and aftertaste. Beautiful package is only slightly tarnished by a little tinge of something plastic or rubbery. Still, a fun beer to drink.
