Very rich, lightly tangy, lightly fruity, velvety and aley. Twinges of metals sometimes, but easily overlooked. Very enjoyable and a bit different. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 16, 2007 Really yummy, milky aroma. Best milk stout aroma I’ve smelled, by far. The milk isn’t spoiled and sour and really lactic, but rather slightly sweet, chewy, marshmallowy. Flavor is similar, with a bit less milk presence and a slightly harsh palate. Lightly roasty, and very drinkable. Great stuff ChainGangGuy (2619), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 7, 2007 Appearance: Pours a deep chestnut drown with some dark garnet hues around the edges. During the brief time the beer’s head and I spent together, it appeared off-white.
Smell: Smells of sweet chocolate, roasted malts, with a touch of smoke. Additionally, there’s a sour (but yummy) milk twang in the nose.
Taste: Starts with a smack of sweet cocoa. Secondary roasty and smokey flavors, too. Very minor hop character. All the while, milkiness, milkiness! Finishes with the roasted malt bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Milky! However, its a bit on the thinner side, just under medium-bodied and with just a trace of carbonation. Still, it could greatly benefit from a bit more body.
Drinkability: Its smooth dessert-like qualities make it rather enjoyable, as well as drinkable. Very Yoo-hoo-esque.
While not nearly as flashy or bold as other stouts, its still a good beer, that with a little tweaking, could make for a really great milk stout. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Black, lots of red hues, medium beige head. Nice sweet chocolate aromas, lightly hopped, with light roast (almost burnt). Huge roasty dry taste. Very long roast linger and bitterness. Creamy, does this make it a milk stout? Very nice. Pailhead (2612), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2005 Bottle: Courtesy of BlueDevil0206 via trade. Wow. Roasted coffee and grain errupt out of the bottle as I pour it along with a light chocolate that comes thru once I put my nose close to the glass. Pours a dark brown with some orange hilights when held to the light. Minimal off-white head quickly becomes a ring. Lots of roasted grain and coffee up front. Roasty flavor lightens a bit in the finish when some light sweetness and chocolate peaks thru. Mouthfeel for a stout is a tad thin, but overall I really like this. Only two beers into my NC trade, and pleasantly suprised so far. 1FastSTi (2591), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2007 Thanks Jmichael for this freebie. This beer pours to a super dark red body that looks black. The beer has a light tan colored foamy head. The aroma is really decent with milk chocolate chips, roasted black malts, and black patent. Thankfully that wasn’t overdone. The flavor is roasted black patent, licorice, charred malts, and a balanced sweet chocolate. The palate is medium bodied and only lightly astringent from the charred malts. Sweet burnt malt and light malted chocolate-mocha with little bitterness and a mild milkiness in the nose. Dark brown-black clear with a little bit of off-white head. Medium bodied, with medium to high carbonation and mild fizzy burn. Starts a little sweet, with cocoa and light cafe creme and some mild tangy roasted to burnt malty character and light lactose sweetness. Mild bittering finish with some carbonic acidity and a light sweet smoky after. Bockyhorsey (2561), Mesa, Arizona, USA
